My husband reached the end of the map and just bounced off it, and I was like, "WTF? Really?" Thank you good sir for this mod

EDIT: I had to download it manually though, Nexus Mod Manager was having difficulty downloading it today. It's in though and I look forward to sending you a screenshot or two

Where would these guards sleep? It's dangerous to sleep on open mountain passes, they need a watch house to protect them from the cold, cold winds.

They have a hut on the other side of the wall, you just can't see it

Now if only one can manage to bend space and time and open the console command, and lastly enters the command TCL. That is where you'll be proven wrong my good sir

Thanks for this. It's small immersive changes like this that elevate Skyrim from a good game to a great game.

Neat, there already was a mod adding guard but not making the access closed.
(as the player found a way to enter Skyrim area at the game start, there still should be a way to do so..)

Then, adding a check as to the main quest status, as at some point, "peace" is made.
At this time, it would be fine to have the border opened without restriction

Could you possibly add gatehouses or customs offices/checkpoints at the gates to non-Imperial provinces? It always struck me as odd that the only thing keeping anyone from leaving or entering Skyrim is a little gate.

I had thought about something like this as well. An interesting addition would be some archers on the walls who will shoot you down if you get too close.

You could put some posts to mark out two lines. Cross the first and you get a warning, cross the second and the archers become hostile.

You put a trigger at each line, the first to get the warning, the second to make them hostile. If you crossed the first trigger in the other direction it would make them non-hostile again.

Dark Elf: Screw you guys, I'm goin' home.
      *arrives at border*
Dark Elf: Closed?! Bah! I will burn it down with my flames. Just wait for it.
      *he approaches the gate*
Dark Elf: Come 'ere, lil' darling! You are goin' to burn now!
      *arrow hits his body*
Dark Elf: Huh?! Where did these guys come from?! AHHHHHH!
*tons of arrows shoot at him*

There's already a mod that adds guarded borders, but I'm not sure if the soldiers are hostile.

I've done a bit of testing and added two guards at the North Morrowind Border. They warn the player when they get too close and open fire when they come closer. I haven't made any triggers, but they will reset if you leave and come back.

*EDIT - Didn't go through with this idea. Guards are not hostile in the final mod.
