When its only textures and not meshes, like this one, it should work.
You just need to download it manualy, and from NMM click on the big green + icon to add that file to NMM. Then you can install it at usual. It also works to copy and paste the files inte Skyrims data map after you have unzip it.
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! Thank you so much for this. Now I will not be staring at the Falmer huts in mute horror over how ugly they are! (I may still be horrified by the thought that chaurus can grow large enough that their shells can be used to make said huts, but that's another matter entirely...)
seriously the vanilla huts and half the s#*! in the game looks like its from doom or something, i love bethesda but it almost seems like they are not trying, hell the moders make better stuff than they do, i say all the modders get together and make a game best-game-ever. rant over . but your changes are super nice no more nasty falmer caves, except for the falmer, nothing could make the falmer pretty.
No seriously, I know the whole console vs pc war is stupid but since the game was developed with consoles in mind they obviously had to deal with he console's hardware limitations and were then too lazy to "beef up" the textures, or use the original not-downscaled ones, for the PC version which results in most of the game's assets looking like s**t.
Yeah, this looks nice but is still rather old as a file. I'll give it a shot. As for Bethesda, if they were not trying to woo the console developers we could have had a legitimate PC version that was remarkable without all the bugs (at least not as many bugs - hopefully) and textures taken straight out of an Playstation 1 game.
Home consoles in my opinion suck (technology wise) for games though they rock with a far better selection aside from STEAM - now as opposed to the late 90's to the early aughts where the graphic differences were not that far apart - but once video cards developed further there was literally nothing consoles could do to catch up to the horsepower of a PC. Even processor power suffered which is when I quit console gaming and went straight to PC. I quit consoling around the PS2 and the 360. The newer ones are great, I like anything Nintendo puts out but developing a RPG like an Elder Scrolls game was doomed from the first day and hampered of all things by Sony and Microsoft.
Consoles for me just aren't as enjoyable as they used to be - even though the game ideas are far better than they are on PC in my opinion. To each their own though.

I think this is the only retexture of the Falmer clutter, still though I really like it. I stop sometimes to admire the texture before I loot another merked Falmerian.
I entered the cave from the lighthouse. The cave design is ugly enough. Then you throw in some huts and fences that appear to be ripped from an N64 game...
Last sight for the people living there. Just terrible that they had to endure that.
