Well, I guess it's good to have a few spares if you use QS, but it doesn't solve any problems QS has (not that it claims to do so, though). These get corrupted just as vanilla do.
Using this mod, I have been able to do away with save managers - and thier scriptload - entirely. Zero save bloat, no corruption, no issues with rolling back to a previous save when I break something vital.
Set it for as many saves as you like, custom save key, it does everthing I need it to do. Personally, I save whenever I go through a door; that seems to work fine.
Same issue as other mods and fixes of the type: Savefile corruption and/or bloat. The only way you can avoid this is by resorting to hard saves, and ONLY new hard saves, rather than overwriting, as this mod does.
I really dislike quicksave. I've lost too many fine characters to its corruption (really, just 2, but that's 2 too many) and was wondering how difficult it would be to make them rotating full saves?
Pretty much what myztikrice said But anyway, just dl the mod and rebind its keys to replace the default quicksave/load buttons and you're done. (remember to rebind the default buttons to somewhere else though.)
According to this one, I'd recomend making an aclaration in the mod description, stating the fact that the saves are actually "hard saves" instead of quick ones. I know you may think it doesn't really matter, but believe me, there are a lot of people that WANT a mod that makes hardsaves instead of quickones, since the latter tend to mess up scripts added from mods.
I second the name change. I only noticed that it was hardsaves because I read the first two pages of comments for mods that I am interested in. Some people might see this mod and just skip it assuming that its actual quicksaves instead of hard saves. Call it SASM (related to CASM) and everyone will know what you are talking about.
Are these saves the hard saves like when you go into a menu like CASM does it or are these the notoriously buggy quicksaves?
Edit: nm.........down further in the comments it says that they are hardsaves. I second the recommendation to change the name of the mod. Skyrim quicksaves are complete garbage and I bet a ton of people skip this mod simply because of the name.
I have discovered one problem: It appears that overwriting previous saves like Rotating Quicksave does can bloat saves, corrupt saves, cause script errors, etc. I've had problems related to this ever since I got the mod, and I was just blaming it on heavy-scripted mods (even when I disabled said heavy-scripted mod and did a clean-save.) I never would've thought to notice that it only happened after I'd used Rotating Quicksave a lot, until it was pointed out to me.
I have experienced similar issues... It would be nice if instead of overwriting the old ones, it could delete them and then resave under the same name (this would fix that problem), but scripts have limited file control for things edited outside of the game...
You crazy madman add a section to the description telling people that these saves are actual saves and not just quicksaves. I was so close skipping this mod but luckily I read the Elysiummm's question. If this mod works (no reason think it doesen't) it will become one of my essential mods.
+! this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. No opening menu constantly to save, no quicksave corruption, enough rotating saves to go back a bit if needed.

Can't reccomend this mod enough.
