this is an old mod, but since i love gobby and installed him recently for the first time, i figured i would share what i found out about this mod since i was having A LOT of trouble with my game. TL;DR - do not have gobby around on a new save file, as it will stop some quests from firing, enable dragons immediately, and have the E3 demo encounter on the way to riverwood enabled (which can be very deadly for low level characters). if you REALLY want him, i believe you can work around some of these problems by returning to his house to start the appropriate quests, but i cannot confirm this.
gobby lives in a cell called 'marker storage unit'. i thought this was weird, but didn't think much of it. but after scrubbing my game clean twice now to try and find out what was making deadman's respite bug out, thieves guild quests not fire off, froki not talk to me, what was causing my inability to become the thane of solitude, dragons to appear despite not having done the appropriate quests, and etc, i discovered that it is none other than gobby's house.

gobby's ristorante is inside the marker storage unit, which is normally the invisible cell that houses all of these invisible quest markers throughout the game that allow these quests to start. because of this, I think in order to progress or start some of these quests, one would need to leave and go to gobby's ristorante to trigger them instead of the vanilla location. the cell being used as a location also makes things such as the E3 demo (which is the wolf/thief/marauder bug mentioned below) and dragons simply just enabled from the start. gobby has caused me two days of confusion and grief over my scripts and install and while i love him unfortunately he must be let go.
Gobby caused the strange thief/marauder/red wolf bug outside Riverwood. I am not sure how this happened, but this bug is gamebreaking which is very unfortunate as I really wanted this mod.
Startup a new character with this mod active and go through the intro sequence, and you will see what I mean.
I love him! Thank you! The only thing that I would love to do is to play as this kind of Goblin. I'm pretty sure it's impossible but I play my own Goblin race. This guy looks much better than mine, though. Thatnks again!!
Hi there, I've got a problem with your mod... And it annoys me 'cause I'd really like to use it ! (I really want a Goblin Follower) I use Wrye Smash, and it highlights the mod in red: So it would make my game crash. Any idea how to fix it ? It may come from a conflict between mods, but I have Dragonborn, so... What should I do ?

well. it appears his hat is replaceable but I can't view him or the hat. CK claims it can't find NIF files for either. When I view him in the edit screen all I get is his sword on top of the missing mesh symbol.
I looked in Gobby's restaurant. He and Chicken Jim are both missing from the kitchen.
I wasn't trying to make you feel stupid, I was merely just pointing out the obvious. If it's a problem with your CK not opening the meshes, then it's not my problem so don't put it on me.
Hey man, just a heads up about the name...In Australia Gobby is slang for a head job. Nice mod though, I like the goblin, wish you'd use a few more screenshots with the Goblin moving around and such. Is this follower voiced?

couple questions:
Can Gobby ride Feralis?
Is Gobby's hat part of his inventory? (I'll probably look at him in the CK but others may want to know.)
I'm askin' 'cause I'm seeing Gobby and some others as a war party/bandits on worgs or boars like Morloq337's Boar riding.

I looked in the BSA and the files are there, so it is a problem with my CK opening the custom meshes. I have the same problem with another mod.
But, hey, thanks for ignoring my questions and trying to make me feel stupid instead.
Also, maybe some sort of functionality so that when you mount he gets his own boar or some such instead of forcing him to run.
