Too bad, I'm only now discovering this mod! My game is now heavily modified: I have a number of mods that change the appearance of the character, male and female (eyes, hair, skin, etc). So the question is: is this mod safe to use with other newer mods that impact character aesthetics? I'd like to try this mod because, from what I understand, it "works" exactly as I would have liked.. lol That is: an adaptation of the "follower" character directly in the game. This is probably something I can already do but, not being skilled in using programs, I avoid it. However, this mod seems relatively simple to use. Then: I still use NMM (still at version 0.72.3); so I would like to know if the "AOF Believable Hair-FOMOD installer" is an independent version, or if it still needs to be downloaded first the "AOF Believable Hair 1_3_2 -Female and Male-" (and then overwrite?). There is a lack of precise descriptions on how to install for those who use NMM. I hope someone will answer.. although I doubt it.. lol
In theory, this is how it works: Skyrim vanilla: with its vanilla hair This mod: modifies that vanilla hair Other mods: modify the vanilla game, so these should override AnOldFriend's mod Therefore, any of these mods should always overwrite the AnOldFriend's mod, although I doubt that any that modifies NPCs will overwrite this mod in MO2, unless you install another mod that does the same thing as modifying vanilla hair. But of course, I'm no expert, and I don't know all the mods and their features. I'm sure you've already solved it by now. If not, here's my answer. Best regards.
I noticed there are no good vanilla hair replacers for Special Edition so I came back to this great mod as it's the closest to vanilla. Being extra careful with using old mods in SSE I gave the files a look and because it's simply 2 .dds textures compressed with DXT5 (which SSE accepts) it should run perfectly if you just manually add it to a mod manager or to your game data folder.
Seconded. As of jan 017, it also has two hair model for mail elves, both of which are very nice. i believe the author will continue converting some for elves as well.
There are mods that already do that including Argonian feathers too. Just search for Argonian Feathers/Argonian Hair - this can be used alongside those and other hair mods. I have all his mods the Azar stuff, HDT hairs, the SG hairs and I haven't noticed anything other than slight compatibility issues. They seem to all work nicely together.
