This is a great mod, i like the idea. Would it be possible to make normal blacksmiths(in most cities/towns) only sell iron and steel items? Well except for: 1) Markarth since their blacksmiths are orcs so they can carry orchish gears as well as dwarven items and ingots. 2) Solitude can include orc and elven gear since they have connections to the Elves. 3) General vendors(in all cities) have rarer chance of carrying items above steel but only up to orc, elven and dwarven (no ebony or daedric items).
Ok, looks like it's simple to remove the items from the merchantblacksmith lists and just leave the iron and steel items, but I dont know how to create a new level list for markarth and solitude blacksmiths thu, anyone got a clue?
Hi. Yes removing items from the leveled blacksmith lists is fairly simple. However to have specific blacksmiths sell specific things in different cities you would then need to create different leveled lists for each city blacksmith. If it was merely a matter of removing rare material items from their lists that would be easier ( although time consuming to go through everything).
I might come back to messing with that aspect at some point but I tend to play Skyrim in stints, playing a few other things at the moment.
Not bad. But let's go farther : what use is smithing, except for tampering, since you can quickly find all nice pieces of armor on your slain enemies in Skyrim?
If only all the armors we could find this way were "used" "worn" etc... THAT would make smithing reeeealy interesting, and we would be proud to wear this hard to create shiny new armor !
But anyway, nice work, for there are many armor mods out there that need you to forge it yourself.
really glad you made this. With this suddenly ore mining is important and ebony mines become super important. Add depth and fun to this already classic game. Thank You!
