Thanks to everyone for your responses! I appreciate all the feedback. To answer some of the questions:

    1. Story: I'm no lore expert xP if you have another better fitting/lore friendly idea for the backstory, please share, I can modify my own a little.
    2. Armor: I might try to design/model some armor for this set, but it might take a while.
    3. Scabbards: sorry :/ I rather move on to a new project or something.
    4. Bow: maybe I will make one, but not sure yet (we have Auriel's bow already, dont we? :p)

    Thanks again!

      Possible, slightly hamfisted lore suggestion:

Ehlnofey, also known as "Earth Bones", are the faded descendants of the Aedra who walked Tamriel, as well as the ancestors of men and mer.

These weapons were forged (carved? There's no real concept of scale attached to the gods, so it's hard to say if you could carve a weapon out of a shin bone or whatever, which is exactly the sort of thing that I'd expect for weapons that look like this) from the very bones of the first Ehlnofey to succumb to mortality and perish, their remains forming incredibly rare and unique forms of the substances of Nirn (mild contradiction here, Dwemer metal is an alloy of unknown origin and composition).

No one knows who created them, how they were created or their true purpose, but they resonate with power when exposed to magic, sunlight or moonlight.

(Basically, the Aedric connection is drawn through an inherent and deep connection to magic, Aedra and therefore the plane of Aetherius, the original home of the Aedric gods, I didn't go any deeper 'cause I'm no lore expert and leaving it open ended keeps things nice and simple)

EDIT: Also, totally downloaded and endorsed.

I like it. Literally Earth-Bone weaponry, though I understand the idea as that the Earth Bones aren't literally Bones, but more like rules of nature, like Newtonian Laws. The way I understand it however is that the Ehlnofey aren't the Earth Bones, more rather some of them became this. Altogether, I'm not sure how well this mod could be implemented as lore-friendly if we're going to make Aedric connections, especially since the weapons are made out of a diverse range of metals of which only one has connection to an et'Ada (Ebony, considered the petrified blood of Lorkhan, who isn't really Daedra or Aedra).

Ideas: We could say they are the weapons of Ancient Dwemer High Priests, forged like Bones in honor of the Earth Bones (which the Dwemer studies profusely) in a wide variety of metals.

Better idea: The white version of these weapons were "forged" from the bones of a very powerful Ehlnofey (as close as can be from his prime before the creation of Mundus) as a strange cultural practice. Or better yet, his corpse was liquefied Mass Effect 2 Human Reaper style (with his soul inside it) and from it the weapons were "forged". So basically, these weapons are actually an Ehlnofey.

So the process (revised and subject to change):
      1. This Ehlnofey is of such great power that he could well give even the Daedric Princes trouble (whose power has not diminished as they did not participate in the creation of the Mundus). To honour him (very strange cultural practice of the Ehlnofey who follow him), they melted his body and soul alike by esoteric rituals and Dawn Magics into a liquid-metal like substance that is basically soul and body.

      2. Using more esoteric Dawn Era magics and rituals, the liquid is crafted into a range of weaponry, and through this the Ehlnofey is immortalized. Despite technically being a collection of weaponry he/she/it is still "one". Think as if your arms, legs and head are separated from your torso but you can still feel them and control them, and that's what it is like for this Ehlnofey. The "weapons" have a will of their own, and should be appropriately VERY powerful, considerably tougher than Daedric and Dragonbone, with equally strong enchantments.

      3. Congragulations! You get to literally stab/crush/mash things with a fallen-god-soul (plus his body)!

The other weapons in different materials can be considered replicas.

wow those ideas sound good.. but, would the name "Aedra" fit in there if they are made from an Ehlnofey? everything is already named aedra so, I don't think I will change every name entry in the creation kit at this point haha. Other questions: which people could probably make weapons from these beings? and who is calling the dragonborn to retrieve them (the et'Ada itself?)

Thank you both "domw" and "BloodrendX001" for this! :p

Well, the Ehlnofey were actually Aedra (though "fallen"), so it still fits.

Anyway, in my idea, the Elhnofey these weapons were crafted from was one who's power was not terribly diminished by the creation of Mundus. Think Bruce Wayne in TDKR when he fights Bane the first time, he is not as tough as he was back in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but he still is a force to be reckoned with greatly. Anyway, the people who crafted the weapons were fellow Ehlnofey who followed the one the weapons were crafted from as something of a guide or leader, though they were not near as powerful as he. These weapons would be VERY old, much older than all the years in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Eras (the Era before the first, the Merethic was not recorded in dates, so we have no idea how long it was, though I imagine the weapons would have been crafted in the early Merethic era).

As to who is "calling" the player, yeah I'd imagine it being the Ehlnofey (needs a personal name) who was forged into the weapons. So basically the weapons are calling the player. I might think up a name later.

"a bow with this style would be so wonderful! "

Well aren't they all based on Auriel's Bow?

Also wouldn't it make more sense to link them to Akatosh rather than Ehlnofey?

it always erked me we could run around with deadra weapons ,but no goodly counterpart, I guess that's why they released dragon bone weapons which kinda nulifys the previous suggestion of godbone weapons or earth bone weapons, we already hav dragon bone. these weapons are lore friendly enough, will download when my home web is sorted

I like the Ehlnofey idea as well everyone is talking about in this thread. Exact;y what I thought when I saw the weapons!

Ehlnofey, Aedra, essentially the same, with Ehlnofey being the faded and weaker descendants of the original Aedra.

Ain't enough endorsements on this sexy mothaf****

Beautiful mod. Perfect vision for what Ancient Aedra equipment should look like that has survived into the modern era in Elder Scrolls, and The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim!

If you're looking for something that would be lore friendly, make them with ebony and dragon hearts. Dragons are to the Aedra what Dremora are to the Daedra because the Dragons are the children of Akatosh (either literally or metaphorically; we don't know). The Dremora similarly are the servants of Mehrunes Dagon. Because of this, if a heart from a Dremora and ebony make Daedric stuff, a heart from a Dragon and ebony would make Aedric stuff.

Aw.. I've seen a couple of comments about it. Can someone confirm the portal IS working?

For now, try using the console if it's not working: "player.coc keyaamarium"

These weapons look amazing and cool. if you make a bow, sword, and some armor, then this would blow up with popularity. Plus I might add you should put it on steam, so that won that has cancer cam use this. He didn't know how to download mods off of nexus, and I can't figure it out. So please put it steam workshop before it's to late.

Has anyone else been able to fix the portal bug? I know the weapons are added into the crafting menu, but I would like to get them first before I start crafting them. Although really, this weapon set should have been quest mod, or at least a dungeon reward.

That aside, this is an excellent mod! Except for the portal bug.

EDIT: I know I could just coc to the location as the mod author has said, but where's the fun in that?
