The mod has been around for over a decade and I discovered it just a couple days ago (the new name didn't help as in the past when I did look for mods for drelas cottage only found four and this wasn't among them since it was labeled differently) as I decided to check out oldrim player homes in the order they came out starting from 2012 and ran into this one among many others. Drelas' Cottage, one of those vanilla locations I always felt like it was just there and that was it, well, not no more. In the vanilla game, sure, one can be a home invader and attack and kill the one living there if you are a bad person, and for Drelas attacking, well, you invaded his home, he's got very good reason to attack, I would to. So aside from the very first time so long ago I never had reason to visit him, but now I do. Placing undead enemies outside gives plenty good reason for me to go inside and take this guy out because he's doing very bad things in there with his new friends. And the house being mine afterwards, nice bonus. Love what you did with the landscape outside, forested the area, adding in some ponds and a stream, and the quest worked fine for me, so all good.
Shows up now in the search for 'drelas'. Hopefully it will be seen more and discovered by others that are looking for vanilla location overhauls and this happening to be one of them, it certainly deserves more attention.
I think this is a fantastic house mod. However, I cannot run it and I am not sure why. For whatever reason, this mod causes certain areas of my Dawnguard map to go completely pitch black (Blackreach, Forgotton Vale Grotto & maybe more I haven't finished this play through yet). I haven't read all of the comments on here, so this may be covered, but I just wanted to let you know. I am sure it is this one - I went through my full list and found that with this one deactivated I can now see these areas. I'm endorsing this anyway, because it was a great player home. All of my weapon racks worked fantastically, no other bugs other than some small graphics bugs walking up to the house (grass in mid air - no biggie imo). So, sorry for being repetitive if this has been covered already, but I just thought I'd let you know.
THanks for a constructive feedback, i have cleaned this mod with TESVEdit so there should be no records that interfere with the original game except for a few navmesh records and Drelas himself, all others have been removed. Im working on a new version to optimize it even further by removing the added marriage quests dialogue for example.
What an excellent house mod. Lovely secluded location, beautiful scenery around the home and a cosy, well thought out and tastefully done house inside and out. It even has a challenging, but very rewarding mini quest! Endorsed!
The only bug I have found: there is a patch of land opposite the house on the hillside that looks fairly barren (not an eye sore though) and is impassable (invisible wall). But this bug takes nothing away from the mod its really that awesome!
I have upgraded to the current version and began a new play. Everything was fine until I tried to leave the house and I find that the spell shield is still in place surrounding the outside of the house. Is there anyway to disable it? I have tried a clean install and same results. Any advice you could offer would be much appreciated. Still a very cool house and I would love to use it normally.

also seem to have trouble keeping weapons on racks.
