I'm trying to do a play through as a Giant Nord.... Difficult to interact with people/things when they are so far below me. Only quick in-game fix was to use the Custom Camera settings mod I installed. Dropped it down by my feet with a hotkey and it was like I was my feet.... Anywho... Just wondering if anyone knows if the: fTalkingDistance=2000.0000 would be the item I would want to add to my ini and if that should go into the prefs ini or the main skyrim ini
I have no idea what this does, but I saw it posted here, and I guess because my game was running smoothly, but not allowing me to go to solstheim or falskaar or wyrmtooth I had to try it. I copied and saved my original ini, and then put these settings in. Now. I can go to all three, my game loads faster, and I CTD less often. I have noticed a couple of weird things though, and am assuming its somewhere in these settings. some horses and livestock have turned semi transparent and have a green "smoky" effect going on before they go almost completely invisible, and some trees are losing their foliage so they are basically logs with a couple of sticks on them. I have no clue what could be causing that. Thank you for posting this! Even with the new weird green animals and disappearing foliage it has really made my game better.
First off just as a little information it is just pure luck that your system is more stable and not less so. as to what you needed to do to get the borders open is this entry : bBorderRegionsEnabled=1
Now as to why you many be having the issues with horses and other items is probably due to this entry area here:
Now my base set up with no mods looks like this: [Archive] sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa
With HD texture mods it looks like this. [Archive] sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, HighResTexturePackFix.bsa
You will have to look at your old INI and find the items that are missing and put them in there. that SHOULD but by no means is it a guarantee to fix the problems you are having. The information about the leaves, are they disappearing or were they never there, if they are disappearing then it is due to LOD settings. but I would start with the above area first and see if that does not fix it.
