    ---- V2.2 ----

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This version is essentially the same as V2.3 (albeit with less content) so the info and FAQ on the description page is still relevant. V2.2 does however contain a few issues that have now been fixed in V2.3. These are:

Inigo stuck at Snowpoint during Bad Vibrations: Reload to a pre-Snowpoint save and make sure you reach the quest marker inside the beacon BEFORE talking to him (you'll have to kill two bandits). Once the area is clear and you've both reached the correct spot he'll talk to you. There's no need for you to initiate the conversation.

If you can't go back to an earlier save and Inigo is stuck after saying "This way, my friend." open the console and type:

    sqv inigobadvibrations

then hit enter. You'll see a lot of data. Look for inigoBV4 var = XX06b0f0 (the 'XX' is unique to your game). You may need to use your PgUp key to scroll up. Copy down that number then type:

    stopscene XX06b0f0

replacing the first two digits with the two unique numbers you wrote down. Hit enter and he 'should' run off towards the posts. Let me know how you get on. If this is the issue I can simply adjust some conditions to avoid the problem all together in the next update.

Talk to whoever you want option sometimes doesn't do anything: In V2.2 when asking Inigo to talk to NPCs the response "Yes. Good idea. I enjoy getting to know people." has no script attached (oops!). Just ask Inigo the question again until the option "I'd rather you didn't talk to other people while we are adventuring together." shows up. This will be fixed in the next update.

Blocking line repeats in Alftand: During your hunt for the Elder Scroll in Alftand there is a greeting line that repeats while you are in certain sections of the dungeon, blocking his other topics. The line should have been set to fire once and will be fixed in the next update. Once you obtain the Elder Scroll the line is no longer valid and the block is removed. If you need to access Inigo's options during the short time the block is still active just talk to him while sneaking.

    ---- V2.0 ----

All the issues with V2.0 have been fixed in V2.2. Do yourself a favour and upgrade immediately!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    INIGO OPTIONS

All his new options can be found under the topic Mind if I ask you something. Consult the temp read-me for more detail about how to manage horses, combat, relaxing, etc. You should always use Inigo's built in functions and not those provided by a follower mod should they appear for some reason.

    ITMS, NAV MESH WARNINGS, ETC

ITMs - Cleaning is not needed (it is perfectly safe to leave Inigo un-cleaned), and cleaning MIGHT cause some lines not to fire. There's nothing harmful in there.

Nav Mesh Warnings - I've removed the deleted nav records, reinstated the original navs and lowered them so they're ignored by npcs, then rebuilt the majority of meshes in the area from scratch. In V2.0 I had to edit a tiny portion of the mesh around Snow Point Beacon because it was unusable in the vanilla game. I also added a large area of Nav Meshing where there was almost none to a hilltop - an area where no follower could tread. That'll be where the two (accidentally) deleted records are coming from. This has been fixed for V2.1 but is largely harmless. The only current problem is In some cases the nav meshing in that area may have reverted to its original state because of the deleted records causing pathing issues so don't worry if Inigo has a bit of trouble in that area. It's been taken care of for the next version.

INIGO DISMISSES HIMSELF WHEN SET TO WAIT

This has been fixed for V2.1. In V2.0 Inigo will often dismiss himself when asked to wait or relax. If he takes it into his head to strike out on his own, you can find him using his map marker or, if you've completed his mini-quest, just summon him to your side. He will always be heading back to his cell in Riften. If you find him naked don't worry, he'll still have everything you gave him stored away. If he won't follow you at first, ask him to wait then ask him to follow. If you want to summon him to your side but don't have his spell yet, use the commands listed in the FAQ on the description page.

AFT FOLLOWER TWEAK OPTIONS SHOWING UP

If you start a new game AFT shouldn't recognize Inigo at all. If however you're updating from a previous play-through it seems you may still see the tweak topic. You need to get rid of it. Here's how (courtesy of Madrias)
"With AFT, redismiss Inigo as you normally would, fire up your Tweak Commands, Tools, then Reset AFT. Wait for it to dismiss all followers, then save, then reload that save."

THE NEW KEY TO INIGO'S CELL

If you're meeting Inigo for the first time there's a note on the big table in the hall just before the cells. It leads you to a key so you don't have to pick the lock. If however you're updating and you've already been to the jail, the key may not be recognized by the lock and you'll have to pick it again I'm afraid.

INIGO IS HOLDING AN INVISIBLE TORCH

I think this happens if you're updating from a save where he previously had a torch. Just give him a new torch somewhere dark so he equips it, then remove it from his inventory. That should reset the animation in question.

    CIVIL WAR PROBLEMS IN V2.0

Inigo may be tagged as a Jarl in V2.0 due to an oversight that's now been fixed for V2.1.</span> Here's a workaround provided by Eolhin. Drop Inigo off in Riften before you go to do a battle in the CW quest line (or if the battle is in Riften, have Inigo wait somewhere else far away). Once the correct Jarl has been forced to surrender, it should be safe to pick Inigo back up again. Rinse and repeat with any other CW battles that involve the Jarls.

INIGO'S MINI QUEST AND HOW TO START IT

INIGO V2.0 includes a short but dense quest that sets the stage for the story that will dominate the next BIG update (V3.0 most likely). It's very short and effectively ends when you receive a certain spell. You start his quest by first - asking him all about his past. And second - by having a seated conversation in an inn about his brother using the "Let's chat" topic. It doesn't matter if you've already heard this info in a previous play-through, you need to do it again to trigger... things. Once you know Inigo's brother's name the quest has a random chance of starting when you're next out adventuring across Skyrim.</span> Even though the quest is not the focus of this update, there's a lot more info about INIGO's future story and what it may involve for those who are willing to dig a little and pay attention. Once you have the spell, go to an inn/or somewhere safe, sit with INIGO and you'll find he has a question or two for you. There are no wrong answers. Once that's done, I encourage you to spend as much time in "the cabin" as you want. If you ask Inigo to relax there you'll discover a lot of new info and dialogue: conversations between Inigo and (L), Inigo's diary entries, (L's) predictions, etc. It all helps paint a bigger picture and much of isn't available until you've had your quest post mortem with Inigo.

INIGO STILL JUMPS INTO COMBAT WHEN HE'S SET TO UNAGGRESSIVE

If you've set his aggression to zero through the "Mind if I ask you something?" topic he won't start an unprovoked attack... but it may appear that way. You may not have been discovered but perhaps he or another member of your party was? As you level up he'll get more stealthy (he's already pretty sneaky and has just about every sneak related perk). I messed about with the idea of the option of asking him to ignore combat altogether like certain other mods do, but it just didn't work. It feels more organic this way and there is a noticeable difference in his behaviour when you run through a dungeon twice alternating between aggressive states. This becomes more noticeable still when he's at higher levels. Because he's set to help allies and friends he'll jump in and help when one of you has been spotted... when set to aggressive he'll generally attack anything he sees on sight if it's in an opposing faction. There may be a third option at a later stage if I can work out something even more passive that doesn't render him inert, but currently this was the best option available I'm afraid.

INIGO'S FACE IS GREY FOR SOME PLAYERS

Here's a note from bojanni who fixed the issue in their game - "My Inigo had a grey face to. I had to run ASIS again, because even though you exclude a NPC, ASIS stores the NPC data in it's esp (normal behaviour). So maybe that's the issue for some. Could be that other reproccer / Skyproc mods do that too."

*IF YOU'RE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH A MULTI-FOLLOWER MOD FIRST TRY PLACING INIGO ABOVE THE MOD IN YOUR LOAD ORDER AND BELOW ANY OTHER FOLLOWER MODS YOU MAY HAVE RUNNING.

*IF HE'S NOT SHOWING UP MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF SKYRIM.

*IF YOU DO POST A QUERY, PLEASE INCLUDE DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND WHAT OTHER MODS YOU ARE USING, ETC.

INIGO V1.1b is now available under optional files and fixes many of the issues people have been having with UFO. Thank Vamyan and don't forget to also grab his Follower Compatibility Patch here: http://skyrim.nexusm...om/mods/41524/?

A note on the subject from Vamyan -

"Inigo 1.1b + Follower Compatibility (linked in the sticky above) + UFO 1.2i is working perfectly. Inigo 1.1 + UFO 1.2j,b15 should also be working perfectly."

Because I'm still working on Inigo, I don't use multi-follower mods at the moment. Vamyan (who actually tests this stuff) recommends SMF or AFT for greatest compatibility.

A NOTE TO EFF USERS FROM VAMYAN:

I have just updated my Follower Compatibility mod (linked in the sticky) for more correct support of Extensible Follower Framework. If you find Inigo has any issues with EFF (e.g. unable to see him in "group" actions, walking off when you sneak, etc.) please try my mod and let me know how it works for you.

    I can’t recruit/dismiss him!! WHY?! You've ruined my life!!

Most recruiting/dismissing problems are caused by your load order. Try putting Inigo ABOVE your multifollower mod (if you have one), and BELOW any other followers, or follower related mods you may have. Then take a few deep breathes, have a nice cup of tea, and calm down.

He keeps walking away while I sneak, I still can't dismiss him, etc.

It sounds like you're using a multi-follower mod. Inigo seems to have a few issues with EFF and a lot of issues with UFO. INIGO V1.1b is now available under optional files and fixes many of the issues people have been having. Thank Vamyan for working out the fix.

IF YOU ARE USING A VERSION RELEASED AFTER V1.1 DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL INIGO WITH ANY MULTI-FOLLOWER MOD

What multi-follower mods do you suggest?

I personally find that Inigo works better as a character if it’s just the two of us, but other opinions are available.

If you’re having friendly fire problems, try the AFT optional file - AFT No Friendly Spell Damage.

    Possible AFT outfit management issue

There may be a problem with AFT’s wardrobe management feature and Inigo, possibly because he has no default clothing of his own. Using the NPC reset in AFT on Inigo should be avoided if wardrobe management is turned on. One player reported that after prolonged use of this feature they began to get crashes. If anyone else has experienced this please let me know.

AFT outfit management problems? Here's a solution supplied by Glanzer:

    Hello Inigo Users,

If you use AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks) and have Inigo as a follower and happen to experience problems with outfit management (e.g. freezing when entering/exiting cities, or problems when using "give me all your gear" ) it's possible that Inigo's default outfit is causing the problem. As you know Inigo has no default outfit (he comes to you nude in his jail cell, remember?) and that might confuse AFT. This happened to me, and it prevented me from using outfit management on Inigo until I found the following FIX. I hope this is helpful for other Inigo users who experience problems with Inigo and his outfit:

    1. Save the game.

    2. Open all containers on the follower and manually remove all items from the follower. If removing an item actually causes the problem, then leave that item in the follower's inventory.

    3. Open the console (by pressing `), target the follower, and enter "resetinventory". NOTE THAT YOU MAY LOSE ALL THEIR ITEMS THIS WAY. If you are worried about losing an important item and you can't remove it from them, use the "inv" command on them first to list their inventory items, then write down the item's id (in parenthesis after its name) so you can retrieve it via the console later if needed.

    4. Close the console (by pressing ` again).

    5. Ignore what the follower now seems to be wearing (it may not even be in their inventory). Also note that the follower should have their original items they had when you first met them. This means they may have an item and you may have the same item since you retrieved it from them. You can decide what to do with any extra items (drop/sell/use them, etc.).

    6. Move the items back to the follower and test AFT's inventory features to make sure that whatever was previously wrong is now fixed.

These directions are only for those have AFT and who are experiencing a problem with Inigo that can't otherwise be fixed. Note that I had Inigo as a follower and I used AFT's outfit management (standard and city outfits) without any problems for a long time, so chances are you'll never have these problems. I also have Zora (from iNPCs), Janessa (stock follower), and Vilja (from Vilja mod) and AFT does a great job of handling this mix of followers.

A warning - Using any mod that makes Inigo randomly sandbox will effect many of the conditions that govern his dialogue and he'll occasionally say things that don't make sense.
