I'm not sure what it is cause I can't see a conflict in TesEdit but if the mod is bashed town guards will be walking around headless. Just FYI if anyone else has this issue. In my case keeping True Soldiers from being bashed resolves this.
hey I worked out you need to add a Stats Tag in Wyre Bash when you create the bash Patch otherwise the weight and cost changes end up being overwritten by WARF
yes but without a Stats tag when you create the bash patch WARF will win even thou this mod merges into the bash patch. With a Stats tag this will win.
You don't even need Wrye Bash if you add {{BASH:Stats}} to the mods file header Wrye Bash will see that and act accordingly.
I just thought I'd say I love this mod. The little mods like this make everything more immersive. I hope to see it on SSE at some point. I know SKSE is not out yet(I'm never sure which mods require it and which don't), but it'll be awesome if this mod does surface on SSE at some point(even if it is awhile from now)!!
The main reason this stuff has such low stats is because you get it immediately at the start of the game. This basically means that players get Scaled / Steel right off at the start of the game, which throws off the armor progression for the first several hours, and causes a rift in heavy vs. light armor balance at the start (light armor gets a scaled set immediately while heavy gets steel at best, or if they go imperials they get nothing.)
Sadly balance concerns due to ease of access are the reason why these are so low-quality as armor, and I'm not too sure how to remedy that.
I understand it. But I am happy user of Alternate Start - Live Another Life and Skyrim Scaling Stopper So it's not a problem personally to me. I made this simple mod for myself and felt that I should upload it and share to community.
I'm glad this mod was made balance be damned. It just doesn't feel right the guards being so weak. If I recall in previous games it was like don't f with the guards. Their armor is so weak and this helps in someway.
I have been searching like a vampire in the night.. and finally I find what I was looking for, most appreciated! This mod really deserves more attention!

I also don't use Wrye Bash currently
