    Special Edition here

6.6.0 introduced the Archive, a new museum space for the mod.
The Archive is NOT related to Legacy of the Dragonborn, so please do not expect it to be anything like LotD.
Only Relics of Hyrule items have displays in the Archive.
If you encounter issues and glitches, let me know, but the general structure of the Archive will not change.
It will expand with the mod, but I can't do drastic changes, and criticism will largely be ignored.

Breath of the Wild content will be implemented on a large scale in version 6.7. I will not be answering any questions about it, because everything is being considered for inclusion.

Please don't ask about the hats. I know they are a bit glitchy. Unless you're offering a new mesh that solves all of their problems, I'm not talking about them. I'm very tempted to get rid of them altogether, to be honest.

Please don't ask about console ports. I am not doing any ports for my work. Check the Articles tab for more info.

I do not make any compatibility patches or addons for any other mods. I have too much going on with RoH.

Before reporting a bug or issue, please make sure your installation is fully up to date.
When reporting crashes Tell me as much information as you possibly can! Crashes are very hard to diagnose!

You can also view the working changelog in the Forums tab for clues to what's coming, as well as what bugs I have already fixed.

If you are having an issue with the mod and have installed via Vortex or NMM, I'm sorry, but I cannot help. I don't use Vortex/NMM, I don't like Vortex/NMM, and furthermore, Vortex/NMM has trouble with big mods. That's all I know. Try downloading the main file manually and install using Vortex/NMM afterwards. That is the extent of my advice.

If you have questions, a Nexus user has been generous enough to offer their support for using NMM. Their Discord server is dedicated to helping users with modding Skyrim and Fallout.
    The invite code is here:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

To install, download the main file.

RelicsofHyruleDragonborn requires BOTH Dawnguard and Dragonborn, just so we're clear. I ca'n't change the name or else it'll break everything.

Also, DO NOT run this mod with more than one Relics of Hyrule esp active! It's not necessary! It might be dangerous! Just use the most recent version of the version you want.
Use only one update and one .esp of the main mod.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    How to update:
    Download the newest main file.
I recommend downloading it manually and installing afterwards with your mod manager.
Downloading using NMM is not reliable.

To update, simply download and install the newest update file and replace data from the main file. Only install updates for the current main file (e.g. 6.49 for the 6.4 main file).

I recommend manually installing update files, as NMM is unreliable when installing these files. If you manually install, NMM will still reliably uninstall the mod.

No full update will rely on one that came before, and will only add to the main file.

When in doubt, download the main file.

To uninstall, you can follow standard uninstallation procedure with your mod manager, or manually remove directories listed in the "relicsofhyruledirectory.txt" file included with the main installation.

You can help with Relics of Hyrule by contributing to the wikia.
This video explains what you can do!

There is an official Relics of Hyrule Let's Play Series!
    Here's the Playlist!

Please make sure your installation of the mod is fully up to date before reporting a bug or issue.
Also check the bug tracking section on this page and the spreadsheet at this link?, to see if your issue is already known.

Please check and make use of the Bugs tab, so I can keep them all straight. Please be specific and clear when you report bugs, so I can fix them as easily and quickly as possible.

Please check the change log before informing me that an item you obtained via the console or debug chest or looked at outside of the game is missing its textures or meshes. Chances are that item is simply incomplete and will be finished or scrapped in a future update.

Always check an item in the game before reporting it. Don't tell me something is wrong with the mesh or texture if you haven't looked at it in-game.

Relics of Hyrule has a wiki!
Check out the wiki if you're stuck, or the Quick Info Guide.
Please help with it! I'm only one person, and most of my time is spent maintaining the mod itself. I will be monitoring the wiki for consistency and accuracy, since its purpose is reference, but if you want to contribute, the wiki is the place to go.
I'll try to keep the Quick Info Guide complete, and I'm doing my best to be helpful in-game, but it's hard because there's a lot of stuff in the mod, and I don't want my guidance to be intrusive.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

evittalex has made a Relics of Hyrule addon/crossover patch for Invasion of Skyrim - GAT.

Legacy of the Dragonborn is not officially supported, and I will not be making accommodations for it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a testing cell that can be accessed with the command
    coc RoHDebug
The cell contains crafting equipment, and debug chests filled with most of the items in the mod, as well as untested or unimplemented items.
This cell is NOT accessible without this command, and should not be considered a gauge of what the mod contains or what it is about.

Check the Forums Tab for answers to fervently asked questions, and common bugs.

Here's a spreadsheet that outlines ideas that have already been suggested and my thoughts on them.
Before making suggestions, please read this chart of guidelines to get a sense of what suggestions are feasible.
There's a video form of the chart as well.

Is the Ancient Automaton supposed to be magic immune? I half expected it to die easily to the vampire lord but Apparently I need to land my resistance reducing spell and power first in order to deal any dmg

It does have a very high resistance to magic, which should crop up when its health is low. It does have a moderate weakness to shock magic, however.
I'm going to adjust the values, though, as the magic resistance will override the shock weakness.

The wiki is community-maintained and is still being updated, if sporadically. JKalenad has guide videos on his YouTube channel as well and the Discord server is quite active, the folks there can answer any questions you might have that the wiki or YouTube may not.

"A patch does exist that reduces conflicts with Legacy of the Dragonborn, such as dig sites placed over RoH items"

Anyone have a link? I'm completely cool with no LOTD museum space, I just don't want LOTD and ROH to interfere with each other if possible. :(

On the LotD page, there's several links to the patches links pages. Just check them out and the RoH one is among them.

Hi! Thanks again for this amazing mod. I have a conflict to report, in case anybody else hits it. It is NOT a bug in this mod. The conflict results in an area of this mod appear to have about 50% of walls and floors to be missing or invisible. Details under spoiler:

    Spoiler:
    Show
So I visited the Fire Temple and the tunnels leading to it, and also the big room that is the point (I think) of the Fire Temple. In all 3 areas for me, there were a large portion of the walls, floors, and ceilings missing... or they appeared to be missing. They weren't missing of course, because I could not walk through the holes and I didn't fall through the ones in the floor.

The problem for me is a conflict with the mod 4K Parallax Skyrim by Pfuscher (I use the All In One version), which accidentally (I assume) reordered the nodes and/or NiTriShapes in a bunch of meshes in these two paths (and maybe more):

    meshes\dungeons\caves\green\largehall
    meshes\dungeons\caves\green\largeroom

When those meshes are used as is, they work fine. BUT when they are used with texture overrides, like they are in the Fire Temple area, they do NOT work fine, resulting in the massive mess I was seeing.

The correct way to fix this in my opinion is to reorder the nodes and NiTriShapes of the parallax mod's meshes in those folders back into their proper order, so that they work with texture overrides again. That is what I did for my game, and I hope it doesn't break something somewhere else.

Another solution might be to remove or rename the two folders I mentioned above in the Parallax mod, so that the reordered Parallax meshes are not used. This is easy with Mod Organizer and maybe other mod managers. And maybe even without them, so your game could fall back to using the meshes from the BSA files for Skyrim and/or USLEEP, etc.

Using either method, the only possible issue is if another mod uses texture overrides mapped to the reordered Parallax meshes. I think the odds of that are slim, but you never know.

Again, this is NOT a problem with Relics of Hyrule. I am simply pointing this out here so that if anybody hits the same problem in the Fire Temple, they will know that they have some options.

JKalenad - feel free to send me a PM if you want any more details on this conflict. And thanks again for the work you do!

Thanks for the kind words, and for the compatibility report!
I'd suggest reporting it to the community patch hub here:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31935
Even though it's on the Special Edition Nexus, they do host LE patches. They should be able to make a patch to accommodate the conflict.
At some point I may make the meshes more self-contained, but that would definitely take time!

Hey, you should add the option to change the hats item type to circlet so they can be used with custom hair. That'd be a nice addition and it could solve the bald character thing.

There's nothing beyond the doors that can't be opened. The only areas to explore on the Isle of the Deep are the caverns that have the Thunderblade weapons and the island navigation hall.

At some point in the future more areas will be accessible, but a lot of doors are intentionally sealed. There are other islands to explore once you find the Island Ledger in the navigation hall.
