    Hey everybody, I know it's been a while since my last post. About 3 years to be precise....

    Suffice to say I'm humbled everybody is still downloading and enjoying Undeath and finding ways to patch out all the horrendous issues that I simply didn't have the time (or skill) to fix myself.

    I WILL be looking to upload an official Special Edition port of Undeath for you all to enjoy very soon (I know some people have reached out to me that have made some progress in this already) so I'd like to collect the patches and fixes that you've found and compile them into the new upload which will take some time.

    If you have the complete list of non-conflicting patches that are pre-existing and the authors for these please message me with the details directly and I'll try to speed things along as much as I can.

    Thanks again to everybody for your continued support. It warms my cold black heart to see so many following the path of the dark arts...

      Thank you so much! I pretty much mainly play necromancer playthroughs and your mod is a must have for me everytime. I have to say not having it has been a terrible strain on my immersion in my games and I had given up on Undeath due to your long absence when it comes to SSE. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to update this awesome mod!

      Is there anyway to make the Lich mode spell/ability menu more streamlined like the vampire lord for the SSE version of Undeath?

      I wish there was, sadly this favourites menu code seems to be hardcoded into the vampire lord beastform (thanks bethesda) meaning that there isn't a more elegant solution for spell selection than the current menu based system, unless anybody is able to find a way to simulate it otherwise.

      i was just thinking the other day and asked on SSE forum about your mod as it doesnt feel the same playing the game without your mod i love it so much and am so happy to hear your working on a port

      Spell menu depends upon your vision of the gameplay in "lich form".
      If you don't want to give a lich access to all spells, then your current menu is good enough for this purpose.
      You can expand current menu (see Tx12001 mod), the code is simple enough and it won't take much time to implement it.
      But if you want to have access to all spell via favorites menu, there's a way to do it.
      But this will require skse(goodbye SSE) and much more work to do.

      Just when I lost hope, word comes of Antioch returning, and WILL be looking to upload an SSE port. Words alone simply don't do this justice. This was one mod that really made my skyrim experience, and so far, no unofficial solutions have worked for me. Thank you, so much.

      (Also, if at all possible, the occasional progress update keeps those of us on the edge hoping, but honestly, I'm just happy to hear that this project is more undead than dead.)

      Desperately hoping this gets ported to the Xbox One version. The core files for my PC game got too corrupted by another mod for it to be fixed, and now that I'm on console I've missed the best Necromancy Mod dearly.

      Does this mean you will finally rework this mod and update it so everything works properly? I don't play SSE. I hope so, either way it's a great mod despite all the bugs.

      Have you considered making a custom menu for it? Using SkyUI and SKSE, you can create a box with a list of options to choose from, which might be better. But ever better than that would be the possibility of using a custom interface. I don't know how difficult such a thing would be, but it would only need to list spells available (which it should be possible to tie to a formlist), register when they're clicked on, and mark which ones are currently equipped.

      As an alternative, since there aren't that many, maybe a simpler workaround could be to simply tie the spells to certain number keys. We'd basically have to memorize which keys are for which spells, but that would still be much more streamlined than the current box, and wouldn't be too difficult, either. Just register for the number keys and equip a certain spell when one is pressed the same way you already do through the menu.

      Currently, I only find two things frustrating: changing spells takes a long time (the menu takes a long time to open, which can mean death in tight situations), and I'm stronger in mortal form. This could help negate one of those issues entirely.

      Either way, thanks for this mod. It's definitely one of my favorites.

      If the quest is not starting - make sure you are Level 30 or above.

      hey, i don't like the skeletal lich and i could only go before the ritual... i saw the namira corrosion and i dont like it so i went back, added the embalming essence and thrown away the corrosion but i STILL become a skeletal lich... is there any console command to say to the game "i chose the embalming essence"?

      PLEASE I BEG OF YOU, HELP PLEASE, i don't know if anyone this bug or error, so I got both jeweled skull idol (one in the cave that leading up, near the gate, and one in the torture chamber right?) but when i insert it to altar only one that present in my inventory, when i try to insert next altar, it's said I lack the item, i even go all the way back to search it again, please anyone? code or cheat whatever, help me, i don't know why in my game this mod is a mess, invisible srye, invisible chest in apocrypha, dissapearing books,common soulgems, in apocrypha, now this....please help me

      Is this mod up to date right now? Are the patches that are around the Nexus implemented in this files? I would like to play the mod, but I*m also afraid of bugs or something that needs polishing. If you know what I mean o.O

      Because you said something about compiling patches and fixes into the mod and I would be very happy if this has happened already. And I would be interested in knowing what patches and fixes are used (would be implemented) in the upload. ^_^

      Since this post is stickied I figured I would do a bit of a PSA/Selfpromotion.

      Undeath has not been updated in 4 years and is buggy.

      Classical Lichdom fixes numerous bugs and reworks inefficient scripting - lich transform time has been reduced from over 5 seconds to barely 1 second. It also addresses a critical bug where the "Arkay The Enemy" quest cannot be completed if you choose to free the priest, preventing further progress in the Undeath quest chain.

      The once buggy Dark Resurgence has also been fixed so that it works 100% of the time. You can now truly feel like a badass immortal lich sorcerer :)


      As a bonus, the mod adds swathes of new content, including a perk tree for liches and numerous new spells, expanding the total number of usable spells in lich form to a whopping 51. Lichdom is now a fleshed-out and satisfying experience.


      Therefore, Classical Lichdom - and Immersive Lichdom by extension - is considered a mandatory patch for Undeath.

      it would be cool to add some spells like ebony flesh or know it but just out of curiosity there is no alternative way to access the spells? Why in my game is this always the mistake?

      one thing has a little problem with the spell menu now because it takes a certain amount of time to access without mentioning that sometimes the error, I've died many times because of this aliais if you have a few words wrong sorry because I'm Brazilian and I used the google translator to write the message, you really did a great job in this mod he is my favorite: D

      You have a really cool modification here. It seems to be very good both for the story and fun of joy. But unfortunately, Undeath has a big fault that makes it worthless. If you make a single error, you can not complete Undeath and it will make it unplayable. As for example, I'm not good at English I did a real mistake. I tipped over the kettle before I finished. No warning text nothing warned me because I risk destroying the whole shit. So now it's just starting from the beginning. I understand you want to make it difficult for us and we love it. But it should not be that you can destroy the entire quest line just for an error without any warning. So unfortunately I'm disappointed at Undeath really disappointed. Still chatted about it now i will create a new character ch try again :(

    I found this mod recently and it seemed incredibly interesting, however, my game wouldn't start after installing the mod. Perhaps the new update from Bethesda and the fact that this mod has not been updated in years had something to do since after removing it, everything went back to normal.

    Incredibly buggy mod. No idea how you get through it.
    I was only able to play until Hermaeus Mora's book. Inside it, I did not have all the “buttons” to open the doors, and when I found an invisible “ball” hanging in the void, nothing happened when I pressed it.
    Moreover, I don’t understand the very meaning of the mod - if at the beginning the player has a choice, destroy the rituals or use them, then after the book there are no options - he is offered to become a lich and that’s all. I don't see any interest.

    I have a problem with the spell menu the animation plays but the menu does not appear so I have to turn back to human then back to lich for it to work. I need to do this every time I start up the game. Does anyone have a fix for this?

    I just finished this quest from my second playthrough at this moment. Here are the pros and cons (Disclaimer - may contain spoilers)

    Pros:
    - Additional questline for your heart's content.
    - Some new places to explore. Nostalgic vibes from Daggerfall and Oblivion as you travel on Dragontail Mountains and somehow restore Necromancy which was banned back in the end of 3E.
    - Grants more necromantic power if chosen that side.
    - Unique music adding to the eery vibes of this quest.

    Cons:
    - You'll miss out a lot if you choose good side and shut this evil magic for good.
    - Major bugs.
    -- Temple of Arkay cannot be cleared after saving or slaying the Arkay Priest. To fix this, input (without quotes) "setstage NecroQuest03 35" if you choosw good side. Set it to 30 for evil side.
    -- CTD During the Scourg Barrow quest when you have followers. Dismiss them for the fix.
    -- Invisible Scyres during the Apocrypha quest. They can still be activated when you get close to where they seem to be.
    -- Follower does not follow in Solitude Sewers. Just go solo so they won't bother us.
