I m not really sure, I put the master chests from the General Stores mod into each house...but it has been a few years since I used it, so I don't remember.
It could happen. I am a bit inundated with a 5 month old at the moment, which is why all my modding is on hold, but I did read a tutorial on HOW to do it, and it would probably not be too hard. Give me a week or so and I will try to see if I can fit it in.
This is the 1st time that I start in the translation of mod and yours, after test, interests me strongly. As such, I would translate it into French and share the translation.
If you agree, I would well like to obviously be aware of your requirements: 1 - I have the right to share this translation on the site "la confrérie des traducteurs"? 2 - Should I created a new page mod "Nexus" or would you like to upload?
You can share this mod wherever you like, as long as it is also on the nexus. So, I can upload it here, or you can upload it here, whichever you prefer, provided you give me credit for the original.
Thank you for actually contacting me before you did it, I really appreciate that.
Thanks for your reply ^^ I also expected the response of Harvey2112 before me there because your mod depends on "General Stores" to work. So, bring one with the other would seem to me much more logical. For the credit, do not worry, I would just add it via hypertext link + the author's nickname.
No worries. Whatever works best for you. I appreciate you doing this, as I like to make things available for everyone, but I am terrible with other languages.
Here is the link of your mod translated into French: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70759? This is my very 1st upload on nexus and I admit to having a little struggled ^^" I let check and inform me of what, for you, is wrong or is to change (if necessary). I have not yet upload your mod on the site 'the brotherhood of the translators' but I do later once your advice on the presentation of this translation
One thing that you might like to add to the blurb: Which of the HearthfIre Homes building options the GS chest is tied to...
Reason: It didn't work for me in Lakeview Manor. Load order wrestled with, file re-dowloaded and re-installed many times &c &c &c... I was about to give up muttering expletives (actually I did for a week or so, coming back to the problem occasionally).
THEN...
Explanation: a) My first house is always for Followers and Kiddies (since you can shoe-horn 3 double beds, 2 single beds and 2 kiddie-cots into it. *IF* you don't convert the "starter" house into the "Entry hall". b) If you don't convert the beginner house, you do not get "night tables" as a furniture option. (can you see where I am going with this?)
The GS chest replaces an EntryHall Night Table (not the StarterHome Stubborn, Useless, &%&$££& Chair which I was wrestling with).
Therefore you have to covert the initial house to an entryway/hall before you can get the GS chest turning up.
I hope this is understandable...
(oh and P.S. re: your reply to toynbeeidea below, the chest is on the RIGHT as you come in.... )
I apologize, as I did not see this comment until this morning.
I have not updated this mod for over a year. I will not be making changes, as what I did makes sense to me. I already made another mod, with general stores options, that remodels all of the houses with lots of added beds. I did this for the way I play, and that works for me. Technically the major answer would be to just delete everything out of that corner and then put a chest there that is buildable. But I don't want to go back and do that. This mod is released as is, if you do not like it, I am sorry. Don't use it and don't endorse it. Oh wait, you already did not endorse it. So meh.
And yeah, I cannot tell me left from my right most of the time.Regardless, it adds in such a small thing to each house, I am not going to worry about going back and fixing it or changing anything unless there is actually a huge problem that breaks the game, causes bugs, or makes things go haywire. Just because it does not work for YOU, does not mean I am going to take the time to change it. Especially since the photo's show where it will be in the Hearthfire Homes to avoid confusion.
I am really sorry, I had not intended to upset you at all (and I thought I Had Endorsed it - now done, my mistake).
I was not intending to criticise either you or the mod, All I was trying to do is to suggest was a minor change to the blurb (description) of the mod - along the lines of "The chest will only appear if you choose to convert the initial Starter Home into an Entry Hall" so that other people wouldn't make the same stupid mistake I did. I don't actually know easy that is to do (you hay have to re-upload to entire mod as a different version For All I Know), but at least people reading with the same problem would find the solution here.
As to the Right/Left thing - I don't think I had Noticed That At All before reading toynbeeidea's comment. After all (as you said) you had uploaded a Screenshot shewing exactly where the chest was... More of a comment for toynbeeidead, really.
My apologies again if I had upset you, and indeed my gratitude to you for the brilliant "minimal" approach (for highly modded houses) that you thought of for this, and the work you put in. Thank you.
I am not upset. Honestly I have not even looked at this mod in over a year, and a lot of things have happened in that year. I don't even remember where I put things in this mod.
As for Hearthfires....let me just say...those things are HORRIBLE to mod. You just cannot move stuff around. By which I mean, if you move something, it then gets moved back to it's original position in the game when you actually build it. It really sucks. I cannot know what I was thinking of when I did this mod originally. I can only guess that I did not think anyone would leave the original room, because it is so craptastic. And when I moved on and started the other mod, that adds 6 kids rooms to the main house, 4 beds in the basement for people who live at the house, and 2 infirmary beds, it still never occurred to me...well, ok, in that one I made it all prebuilt.
regardless, you did not make me angry...but ever since I had some problems last year (intentionally vague) I cannot think right, some days that comes off as me being angry, when really it is just a strain to try to think of how to say what I mean. So I am not angry, I am not upset with you, I appreciate the endorsement. But words are not always something I am good at. Plus I never planned on touching this mod again, since I cannot remember any of what I did since my mind went all haywire. This was just something quick I threw together for when I was using General stores. It was my first mod ever, and not figure anyone would be interested in it, but I wanted to share since I used so many other house mods, that all conflicted with anything General Stores related. But I am off on a tangent there.
I may update the description at sometime, I may just upload a readme. Like I said, it just never occurred to me, because I hate that front room, so I did not imagine anyone keeping it. But I will look into it at some point.
Hmm, I don't really know. You could try putting it at the bottom of the load order. Do you have any other mods that alter the houses? For instance, this changes out the side table in Breezehome that is on the left behind the chairs when you come in, if you are using a mod that deletes that it will not work.
Thanks. There are some mods out there to redo houses with general stores in them, they are all one file for each house, and they all change alot of stuff around. I just wanted to be able to access my General Stores from anywhere I lived, but still have a mod to alter the house if I wanted it.
