So i uninstalled this mod and serana keeps taking out a bow and arrow. like i dont even have the mod and she still has it which is wierd and is kinda messing up seranas combat ai.
I tried installing this mod with the "Seductress Serana" appearance changer (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52907/?) but for whatever reason, this mod removes tintmask and facegen data and reverts to Serana's default appearance no matter where in the load order it was. Any possible fixes? I'd like to try out this mod since the combat aspect seems intriguing.
VERY nice mod! Serana got potential to be the best follower. She always sucked with draining all the time and veeery rarely hitting with her sword. Now it's perfect - draining and hiting at once. Again - PERFECT. Now you made her IMO the best follower. ENDORSED!
Does their relative load order matter? If so, which one should be loaded last?
Never mind: I found out. Loading this one after the appearance mod reverts Serana to original, loading it afterwards preserves both changes. What I finally did was merge the 2 files and it works just fine!
One more thing: would you be willing to make an alternate version that is a little more extreme in that it completely disables her use of magic, including necromancy? The special effects and extra animations for her undead minions are a constant strain on my system! I already solved the problem of her "fiery horse" by replacing those textures with the DB black horse, which is evil-looking enough but doesn't crash my game...
yeah for sure, ill post one as soon as i get a chance. But if you are getting some lag in combat you might want to try an fps limiter. it drastically decreases the strain on your system but keeps the frame rate fast enough so your eye cant tell. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34/?
Also this sight has a ton of other graphics card specific performance fixes that seem to help a lot of people. Just search for performance on this site.
I am using Boris Vorontsov's ENB, and Skysan's custom settings for AMD GPU cards and the latter does have an FPS limiter, set at default=42. My problem is the sheer number of mods (~240) and texture replacers I have installed. So, I would appreciate you putting a more restrictive limit on Serana's spellcasting and necromancy. Given her rebellion against her family, it would be in character if she rejected her mother's necromancy, so I don't think that this would be too lore-breaking an alternative.
Man that's crazy, having all those mods at once! But i uploaded it as you requested, let me know if there are problems, I have not tested it yet but it should work. enjoy!
So far, no problems at all: thanks for doing this! Serana is now routinely fighting with a sword and shield, not casting any spells or bringing back our dead enemies. I had already endorsed this, but I wanted to say thanks a lot for doing this!
BTW, for others who may have a lot of mods installed: the way to merge this mod with a Serana-appearance-changer, all you have to do is use TES5Edit and use the "deep copy as override into..." option to copy just the "Combat Style" section of this mod into your existing Serana mod, and *not* the section called "Non-Player Character (Actor)", because your other Serana mod should already have one of these and they might conflict if merged.

Most of the time I simply turn her off until the fighting is done.
