Wow, talk about first world problems.

Thing is, in ancient times nearly all children went barefoot, and adult footwear was generally just a sole (no padding) or they also went barefoot. Even today, ultramarathoners and native tribes still go barefoot, all the time, while covering significant mileage over rough terrain. It's all about what you've built up to.

So in my estimation this mod is unnecessary. Generally wouldn't even bother posting anything on a mod page I don't intend to use, but I'm obsessed with running, so I just couldn't keep my mouth shut.

If you're looking for a truly IMMERSIVE experience (everyone seems obsessed with that these days) then this isn't truly a realistic mod.

Yeah... I'd also like a slow down of your speed when not wearing boots, unless you're a more foot hardened race such as Argonian or Werewolf. Also... on the rare occasion, I've forgotten to wear boots after armour changes. This would be a good option to remind me to wear my boots, shame I can't get the mod to work though...
Nice idea though, I'll keep watching for updates as it adds more immersion.

I haven't looked at the files, but I'm guessing you'll just need to download, unzip, drop in the data folder of your install, and then activate the .esp from your game launcher (under data files).

Hm, my skyrim launcher doesn't like me. Data files is greyed out. Anyway I could do it using NMM?

This mod is nothing special, it works just like any other.
If this is your first mod ever, just press the green button "download with nexus", install it and select it from nexus itself.

Yeah I know, I'm a bit of a seasoned veteran at installation and troubleshooting mods (The reason this is so embarrassing.). I manage to keep 156 mods from butting heads at the same time, but this one just won't work.

Could you also make the Mod Compatible with this, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23530/? it seems whatever Mod adds New Footwear, this Mod wont work.

yeah love sorc91 and maybe a very slight debuff on stamina as running about some places would be a bit painful or uncomfortabel so you wouldn't be at your most fastest or the best with your weapon due some to foot worry.

Yes, I think a debuff would be perfect for this mod. If you're wandering around barefoot then of course you will get hurt by the harsh ground, so it makes sense you would walk slower, maybe even not be able to run; or you could run but then tiny amounts of damage could be caused. Just some suggestions but this looks like a good idea
