Does the process in this mod still work in AE? It looks a bit daunting but I REALLY want this problem solved. I'm willing to try but not if it's just not gonna work in AE version. Dont want to risk breaking something else for no reason.
Works perfectly for me, after i installed dawnguard i had a few issues with the file being deleted from my registry upon starting the game but renaming the file to match the original fixed that
Hmm. Not sure if anyone still checks this thread but... I don't seem to be able to get this to work. I followed the instructions in the readme:
created a workspace folder and extraced Papyrus Data Transfer 0.64 into it. extracted the werewolf race change bat from this download to the same folder. Copied my latest save into the folder and renamed it: input.ess Then I ran the bat. Then I told my antivirus to piss off, re-extracted 0.64 to the folder and re-ran the bat. It created a new .ess with a werewolf fixed name which I copied back into the save folder, copied the SKSE file and gave it the same name as my new ess and started Skyrim. Loaded the new save, created a new save, loaded the new new save and then tested. Transformed into a werewolf and then back again... and was my original race: I started as imperial, changed to a nord, werewolf transformation reset race to imperial. I set it back and then began the process. Yet after transformation I'm an imperial again.
Why does this not have like a million downloads and endorsements? Happy to give you your first one!
Short Version: Amongst other things, allows you transform to/from Werewolf/Vampire (Instead of reverting to non-vampire race from Werewolf)
Longer Version: This is EXACTLY what I was looking for to fix the default race bug that reverts you to your original Human or Beast race (a.k.a. Breton for me) instead of Vampire (BretonRaceVampire) when you're using a Vampire/Werewolf Hybrid. Worked wonderfully on my very first try, no issues 20+ hrs after applying the fix.
The instructions could have been a little simpler, to be honest. Consider perhaps making a "Quick Guide".I was a little intimidated doing this when I opened the readme, because at first glance it seemed overwhemingly complicated, but it was actually quite simple. The whole process took maybe 5-6 mins.
Also, as bonus, since most people looking for this type of fix are probably doing hybrids as well, it works just fine with all my other Vampire/Werewolf mods installed, notably: Better Vampires Royal Bloodline Moonlight Tales Bloodmoon Rising Werewolf Mastery and 200+ other Non-Vamp/WW related ESP's running too.
Had zero detrimental effects to other mods scripts, and you name it, I have it, Frostfall, Hunterborn, Wet & Cold, Player Headtracking, <Insert Here> etc, etc, etc.

Any ideas?
