   Smelters are usually associated with mining operations, which Solitude does not have. IMO, the smelter is not only out-of-place for Solitude, but it is also out-of-place where it is specifically located.

   How many times did I voice aloud "This the capital of Skyrim and it doesn't have a smelter. Makes a lot of sense, really..." *has a heart attack*

   Never understood the placement of smelters in Skyrim, and I always thought there should be one, right about where you've put it - thankyou!
