*(Old versions, Non-DLC/SKSE/SkyUI/Certain-dragon-type-versions)* - Not going to happen. Full stop. Asking is a waste of your own time and mine. The answer is no and it will always be no.
*" Deadly Monsters " has been removed* from v6.4.0 and is no longer supported or recommended for use. Use Enemy Enhancer by 3jiou in it's place.
*(Bug Reports)* - Besides the two issues below, the mod works without any major issues. It does not cause crashing, save bloat, break quests, break soul absorption, cause strange dragon behavior, and the base-line difficulty is decently tuned (if intentionally difficult & mandate you use elemental resistance gear). Bug reports in the last year have been from mod conflicts, borked save games, user error, underpowered characters, vanilla errors, or not understanding what the mod actually does.
Issue #1) The Assault timer can spawn dragons in interior locations that it shouldn't. There are conditions set with the system that only allow Assault Dragons to spawn in cell marked as exteriors with an open sky. There are 20'ish locations marked as both. This is a game/system limitation.
Issue #2) Apparently, dragons that have respawned at word-walls have the health/damage bonus values stacked a second time. I cannot personally verify this but there have been reports.
Issue #3) After investigation and peer review (by individuals much more knowledgeable on scripting than myself), Papyrus logs showing "nFrostBlastScript.psc" errors are bogus. This is not actually an error nor is it a cause for CTD's. Papyrus logs are not a tool to diagnose crashes.
About Skyrim: Special Edition and Creation Club
Deadly Dragons needs Skyrim Script Extender. Without the functions of SKSE this mod is pretty much irrelevant. So, to be blunt and to the point:
1) Deadly Dragons will not be ported over in any way for Creation Club or specifically for consoles. Nothing personal to those of you still playing, but my passions and priorities moved away from Skyrim several years ago.
2) SKSE has entered its "Alpha" release. Once it enters "beta" release I'll tinker with the mod and see if I can get it working. I give no promises and no time-table for this.
Maybe i over-analyze too much, but installing via Vortex you get "install menu" Where options are Normal, or Loremonger, what does "normal" mean....and Loremonger? lol
I have a bug where breath attacks are complete bullshit, a dragon attacking an NPC on the other side of town killed ME with its breath. Dragon's breath hits even if I'm not in the line of the attack AT ALL, Can anyone explain why this is happening?
No idea why so many people talk crap about this mod. It is great mod, which allows you to make from dragons powerful beasts, as they are supposed to be. Allows you to change assault timer and add safe zones. You can also tweak how strong dragons are gonna be and how many dragons can assault you. I never ran into any problem with this mod whatsoever and I’m using it for very long time altogether. Stop blaming author for your incapability to make this mod work as it supposed to, while installing conflicting mods or doing something else wrong. And if they are too strong for you, well stick with vanilla dragons then. Great mod, thanks!
It's a simple mod. When it came out it was perfect for what it proposes.
But over the years other mods came with more variety of challenge, gameplay and types of dragons. This one ended up getting rusty. Also due to incompatibility and crashes in combination with other popular mods.
I have been searching for LE dragon mods now for 1day, with a lot of interruptions, and now this is going to be my choice. Only alternative I found was Dragon Combat Overhaul but that lists a hidden patch in its requirements, soo...
This is a perfectly working and great mod that I would NEVER recommend to use. The mechanics of assault and enhanced breath are really good (yes I do love when dragons can annihilate me using their breath weapon they do feel properly menacing after that), but all good sides get obliterated by auto-targeting attacks, such as meteors, freeze clouds or goddamn feet fungus that spawns without any sound cue and obliterates you in seconds. god I hate wyrms
It was fun while it lasted, but I'd rather find something more fair.
Does this mod make any changes to dragon mounds (which are actually pits, but whatever)? I crash out every time I get near one in Falkreath Hold (so far).
This mod only changes dragons and their status. If you crash every time you approach a cell, then I believe it is just like a broken save or memory issues. Try loading your game, kill your character (open the console and type player.kill) and then reload your save and see if it lets you load the next cell without a crash. If it does, you just have the vanilla transition bug.
A'ight, I'll try that. I wasn't aware of the player.kill trick. I've found this kind of problem can be caused by mods adding stuff with broken meshes. A recent statics mod (kind of an SMIM add-on) did exactly that at Halted Stream Camp and several other places (it was changed trap meshes that had problems). But I'm hard pressed to think of a reason for a dragon mound to have such a problem. Or a RAM/VRAM problem. It's just a pit in the ground. I could hear a dragon in the area the first time the crash happened. I was sprinting and actually reached the mound and got the "You've discovered [whatever] Dragon Mound" message before the crash that time. That's what made me think this mod might be involved - that dragon spawning. I've CTDed on another dragon earlier (though a replay from prior save worked out). In this case, even if I inch my way toward this dragon mound, as soon as it is within enough range to be recognizable for what it is (i.e., not LOD), I CTD.
The player.kill trick didn't work in this case. The dragon mound remains inaccessible to me, and I've run into a similar problem in the cell containing a bounty giant. FML. I have 96 GB of RAM and an 11 GB VRAM video card, so it's not likely a memory issue. Might be some kind of error in Skyrim Immersive Creatures or another mod. I"ve used TB in console to see cell boundaries and the crash happens upon crossing it into the cell with the problem area. I have tried a recently released cell-transition bug fix mod; didn't help. [shrug]
mate i hate to necro this post but im having the same issue and you my man have come the closest to describing the same issue i've had, did you ever manage to fix it?
This is a brutal mod. Even in a lowest possible settings brings to you a hardcore, hard to manageable dragon fights with a lot of sudden "who-knows-how" deaths when the dragon is nearby. Weather effect is bullshit that is better to keep it off. Sorry. Meteor showers do nothing (really), lightnings (or whatever is it), kills you in a second. However, those dragons variations are fantatic, the same a doses of adrenalin in a every encounter. Endorsed.
This is a great mod, but after years I just fight a random encountered dragon that changed weather. Since that I have a low wind noise that won't go away in ANY ways (tried everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING).
To "fix" that I needed to load an old save and lose 1 hour of game plus the hours spent to try to fix that noise. It happened only once in a lifetime of playing but man that was extremely annoying.

some other mods just increase his health

Not the author's fault, it just aged badly.

You are probably talking about "Brawl Bugs Patch", it was replaced by "Modern Brawl Bug Fix" = same thing but better.
