In every one of them right above the hand, where i knot in the wood is, there is a line that splits the texture. Is that really there? and if so are there any plans to resize/refit/redo the texture so that it doesn't have any tiling? Generally speaking it wouldnt be hard to fix. As ive HD'ified mostly everything else in the game, adding the pickaxe would be nice, but if its tiled like it looks in the picture i would be very sad
Yeah, i'm sorry, i know. The problem is in the original texture made by Folixe who's been unavailable since Dec 2011. I just took his texture and edited the color, sharpness, hue etc to match my tastes and since this is my first venture into modding I think it will be difficult for me to fix that problem with my current level of knowledge. Although I don't want to give you any high hopes, I may soon try to fix the problem by rearranging the texture or I might even make a new texture altogether. I'll inform you if i do!
Its really hard to fix that tiling by merely altering the texture. The easier way is for the UV map of the model to be altered in order to change the tiling
Very good job on the "vanilla" scheme texture. I LOVE IT!
Tracking, since I can't download right this moment, but thank you. It always bothered me that pickaxes looked... uh... *cough* So seeing one made of wood and metal is refreshing!
Files are up! And I'm glad if this makes your game better And, haha, exactly my thoughts! I realized how bad they looked up close when I recently started mining by hitting the ore vein rather than let the animation play out. Turns out it's a handy weapon too, in a pinch.

Also, I was wondering if you had thought about making different variants available in the game. Such as a newer pick vs an old rusted pick.
Always looking for more nice retextures. Hope you continue your efforts. Will track for now.
