    I realize this is necro as hell, but to qualify:

    setgs iMaxPlayerRunes XX

    Entered in console, does exactly what you want. Unfortunately, it has to be re-entered with each new session. This mod makes the setting persistent, which is really handy. On the other hand, I run a modify settings batch every time I play, so adding another line was zero issue.

    Strange, once I load into the game and take out my lightning rune spell it crashes. Tried the 2 runes version.

    4 runes its ideal...one to the floor+one right+one left+one upper his head....draughs you got a problem now

    i did 16 placed them near each other and saw no diffrence in profomance


    Till someone walks over it and 16 runes explode at once <img class="> and so would your computer.

    I am not sure I just offered the name of the GMST I was changing so that if you wanted to try to put it in one of them instead of using the plugin you could. I haven't actually done it and am not sure if it's possible via ini but you can set it ingame via console at least.

    You don't have to actually alter any ini to use it though just extra info - the plugin does it fine.
