SABRECATS OF SKYRIM - Hi-Res Packs is intended to bring more interesting textures to the sabrecats, which were too bland looking in the vanilla version. Simply choose between stripes and spots, or combine the two manually.
I hope people like these options, as they took me quite a bit of time to do. Making patterns match up on the textures was a lot harder than I anticipated. The body parts are a bit of a jig-saw puzzle. It has been a learning experience for me.

Update: Version 1.1 is now available. It's an enhanced texture. Most visible on the face and feet areas. Gives a little more 3D appearance.
Update: Version 1.2 adds the striped regular and spotted snow due to request. I also refined the diffuse textures just a bit more.
I had to play around with the colors a lot. How they look on the texture file is not how they look in the game... especially under different lighting conditions. I'd hate for people to know just how many versions I tried out before I settled on ones I could live with. They might question my sanity.
I adore the colors. I think they're brilliant, the snow sabrecats might seem a little ivory on the images but ingame they're just in the hue as the actual white tiger/snow leopard.
This is such an awesome retex. I know this mod hasn't been worked on in years, but if I could make a small request/suggestion, could you make a version that doesn't alter sabre cat eyes? Now the eyes look like a human's and its really freaky when I loot sabre cat corpses.
Edit: nvm, it’s really easy to just remove the textures for eye of Sabre cat. Now the alchemy ingredient doesn’t match the texture of their eyes, but it’s less startling. Still an absolutely gorgeous retexture.
I'm new to modding my Skyrim and I need some information. Say I want to have spotted sabercats, snow sabrecats, pink sabrecats and elephant sabrecats... Okay, so I find the texture replacers and download manually. Open folders and find textures... sabrecatsnow.dds (For the snow sabrecats.) and another sabrecatspink.dds, can I change their names to sabrecat01.dds and sabrecats02.dds in order to have both versions of the textures? I mean, I would like a variety of sabrecats and not just one all over change. Please advise. Thanks.
There are two sabrecats in the game to choose from, the regular version and the snow version. Therefore, you only get two options in the vanilla game. My mod allows to to choose either a striped regular, or a spotted regular and a spotted snow, or a striped snow version. Those are your choices.
I just found this mod and it does the one thing that the Bellyache's retexture does not: retexture the pelts along with the cats. Thank you for remembering to do that.
(Also, you wouldn't happen to be planning on retexturing the ores and ingots, would you?)

I still use this retexture in SSE, but would there be any chance of a 4k upgrade version in the future?

Just in case that somebody is looking for this. This LE-Textures are working also very good with SSE.
