Some feedback for you! I'm no expert but i've done my share of digital work over the years. First retexture looks pretty nice, I like the colour changes you have chosen and you havent gone too far with exposure and contrast. The central brushed metal part needs some work though. If you worked on the central part some more (perhaps make a new design for the normal map too) you could use the texture for a unique shield. It really has a nice colour scheme, and the orangey details look really good because they actually look like dyed leather, which they would be. The second is way too overexposed and burnt, it looks as if has really been burned by fire and the central part as is painted with splats of white paint. Remember that a diffuse texture should contain as little light and shadow information as possible because the (inadequate, granted) game engine does these things after the colour map is rendered.
Not too bad it looks decent but as you probably know people like cabal have set the standards for re-textures for vanilla weapons and armour it takes a lot to compete with his stuff but nice work regardless keep it up.
Looks a lot like you just played around with filters and levels of hue, brightness and saturation in Photoshop. Probably the sharpen tool as well, that does not make it high resolution, changing the image size to 2048 does nothing unless it has basically been remade from scratch. No offence intended, I personally just think it looks worse.
