Added 2 new downloads for an Ivory handled version and a Ebony handled version. Both contain the katana and ninjato, steel blades, no enchantments. Removed the broken staff requirement. These also already have the Update Patch included, so no need to update them.
I've also added re-texture downloads for all the previous versions. I also re-textured the scabbard to black leather. The old scabbard texture clashed with the new handle's look.
I had done these 2 years ago but then took a break from Skyrim and only recently re-installed it. Thought someone might want to use them.
I added a patch to the download page. It's needed for all versions.
It fixes the mis-alignment of the blood edge, which caused blood drops/stains to hang in mid air around the blade instead of on the blade as they should be. This affected the Katana considerably, the Ninjato wasn't as noticeable. Both are fixed.
I also fixed a bad normal issue on the mesh of both scabbards.
Y,know, should you get the permission, I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to make a retextured compatibility version for this mod & the enchanted swords:
9 People have downloaded my dual sheath redux test but no-one has bothered to let me know if it works. I'm not installing all the stuff needed to use the mod, so unless I get verification that it works, I won't be doing any further builds on that.
Hi, I just installed the mod (10th person XD). I have Dual Sheath Redux and I can tell you that the optional version works. Just one note: I think it would be better if you could specify that the optional file already contains everything and it doesn't need the main files or the uptades (is the update still needed?). Anyway, thanks for this mod because it is a nice idea and a great work
I agree! From the moment I saw the Dragon Priest Staff, I thought that the head would make a great sword handle. lol It even looks like it's shaped for a hand to hold. I kept expecting someone to do it, but finally gave up and did it myself.
I was actually surprised on the handling. Overall It seems to be held even better than some stock swords. I'll be uploading in-game pics later today so you can see for yourself.
I understand what you are saying, and to be historically accurate it would be a "Dragon Chokuto" which is a a pre-katana era Japanese sword. The Ninjato would be shorter by an inch or two and are not proven to actually exist outside of Hollywood. Still, I probably need to rename it.

Can't download right now though so I have to ask; what's the clipping situation like between the hand and the hilt?
Katana's are curved blades.
Ninjato's are straight blades.
Still cool though.
