Are there any plans to port this to SE? It's one of my must have mods on the regular edition and this new playthrough hasn't felt the same with all these ugly helms i have to wear now.
It wouldn't be too difficult to port this to the Special Edition. I'll get to work on that. It will also be nice to have all of the circlets in one package for once.
Awesome, I'm glad to find a mod that'll allow me to see my character and followers face without a huge helmet. Quick question, is there a version that makes the mage-centered priest masks not be considered light or heavy armor? Would make this mod even better. Thanks!
I tried to make the morokei circlet and I have morokei, moonstone, a flawless saphirre, and a black soul gem but it says I dont have the soul gem. If this is unfixable, could I have the console ID?
My compliments on an excellent mod! I had originally played through Skyrim on my PS3, but I upgraded my computer last year to be able to play games on, so I picked up Skyrim during the winter sale for a new playthrough. Your mod was one of the first things I looked for when I was getting my game setup, and I absolutely love it!
With that said, I do have one question. I've got both the Dragonborn and Dawnguard additions installed, and while Dragonborn seems to be fine, I can't find any options to craft either the Dawnguard or Vampire circlets. I've tried it both with versions 1 and 1.1 and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I also uninstalled the one mod I have that updates the crafting options (Weapons and Armor Fixes) but that didn't seem to make a difference either. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks! The Dawnguard circlet requires the Dawnguard forge, while the vampire circlets currently require a 60 smithing skill. I'm going to change the requirements for the vampire circlets though, because that's just silly.
After the change the vampire circlets will simply require vampire equipment in your inventory when you're at the forge. For instance, if you have a vampire cuirass in your inventory, you'll be able to craft them.
Side note: Nice avatar. Wonder Woman is my favorite superhero.
She's definitely my favorite too! I may or may not have named one of my enchanted circlet's Diana's Tiara...
Thanks for the insight into how the crafting works! I caught your post last night right before I quit for the evening, so I did a little bit of testing, but even at the Dawnguard forge, I'm not getting the option for the DG circlets. And my smithing is maxed out, so it sounds like I should be seeing the Vampire gear too. At least now I know for sure that the DG add on isn't being loaded properly by my game. So weird, like I mentioned, the main module and the Dragonborn extension both work without any problems, so I'm totally puzzled why I'm having trouble with DG. I checked my mod load order, and the DG esp is indeed being loaded; originally, it was being loaded after the main circlet esp but before the DB one, so I moved it last just to check, but that didn't help either. I'll have to spend some time tonight playing around with my mod setup and see if I can find any other issues or any other mods that I've overlooked that affect crafting. One way or another I'm going to get those vampire circlets!
I was going to put this in my first post, but didn't want to go overboard with the praise, but what the heck. BEST MOD DESCRIPTION EVER!
Yeah, it sounds like the Dawnguardcirclets.esp isn't being loaded right, somehow. Unfortunately I ca'n't offer any advice on how to make it work.
Sometimes, though, I found that mod recipes will disappear from forges for a bit.
I also recommend checking the Jewelry section as well as the materials the circlets are made of, like steel or Ebony. I think the additional circlets ended up in the materials sections rather than Jewelry. That's the result of another quirk of custom recipes, unfortunately.
Hey, hopefully you don't mind one more question. I've actually made some progress; I've been experimenting with different mod combinations, and I am now seeing the Dawnguard Circlets at the DG forge, so it looks like I've got the esp loading. However, I'm still not having any luck with the Vampire circlets. I've checked all of the different forging categories, and they're nowhere to be found. I just wanted to check to make sure that there's not a specific forge they have to be constructed at, like with the DG circlets. Thanks for all of your input on this, I've really appreciated the help!
Success! As soon as I added in the new update the vampire circlet showed up! Even after I had added all of my other mods back in, everything is still working fine! Thank you so much for helping me out with this, and putting together an updated file! You, sir, are a prince!
I know it's been a while since you've updated, but I was wondering if you could do a Fur Circlet. Or do one of the other circlets count for a Matched Set bonus for the Fur armor set? I hate the Fur Helmet but love the look of the Fur Armor set and am kinda bummed I can't have a sparkly headpiece if I want a Matched Set bonus. :/
I'll think about it. I might put something in for Fur and Hide, but like Leather it wo'n't be made of fur, but of some sort of metal. Not sure what yet...
Actually, I'll probably make the Light Iron Circlet count for fur, leather and hide. That would be simple. Hopefully.
EDIT: There...is no armor material for Fur Armor. So it can have no Matched Set bonuses, at least in unmodded Skyrim.
Hmmm... According to UESP the Fur Armor set consists of Fur Armor, Fur Shoes, Fur Bracers, and Fur Helmet. (The Fur Boots and Fur Gauntlets for a different and confer the matching set bonus to a different group.) I created a new character, gave myself the Matching Set perk via console and the Fur Armor items above to verify without my mods and can confirm it. The Armor, Shoes, Bracers, and Helmet increased in armor rating when I was wearing all of them. If I switched the boots for the shoes or the bracers for the gauntlet then the armor rating dropped down.
I would have no problem with a metal version rather than a leather one. Probably would be much easier to just make it count for all three sets. Though, I've been using the Scaled Circlet personally since it matches the color scheme a bit better. If I had the skills I'd probably mash up Hawk Feathers with a leather band but I know nothing about modding or the CreationKit. I tried it out once and the controls kinda made my brain hurt. It was a little unwieldly. Ha ha!

Updated August 27th, 2013 with fixes to Dwarven and Falmer Circlets.
Thanks.
The three versions are essentially separate from each other.
For instance, the main file adds vanilla Falmer circlets while the Dawnguard file adds Hardened Falmer circlets.
I dont have the soul gem. If this is unfixable, could I have the console ID?
To find the item ID, if nothing else works, I suggest using the handy-dandy help command. That is to say, open the console and type
help morokei
and look for the circlet in the list of items that appears.
With that said, I do have one question. Good luck!
I managed to put the vampire circlets into leveled loot, too, so hunting vampires is another way to get them.
