Lore doesn't say they are extinct, just that he drove them from Vvardenfell...maybe they all resettled in Solstheim!

It's not the first time creatures survive near extinction lmao, plus Skyrim, Solstheim, Morrowind and Black Marsh are what I'd call "Ebonheart lands" so maybe they resettled or some already existed elsewhere.

I don't feel like adding my sworn enemy to this game otherwise Jiubs death was pointless

'The Cliff Racers are passive critters'.
Well, it makes a nice change from Morrowind where if one saw you it'd call it's pals and then about 9 of them would start pecking you in the back.

Bow w/300 fire damage aoe and 1 sec aoe soultrap. . Then grab a ton of soulgems & go out in the remote & desolate areas of Morrowind where groups of racers congregated. . . All I'm sayin' . . .

Some people want to watch the world burn.

Cliven wants to be the one holding the gasoline and the matches. XD

this mod is not lore friendly because jiub has wiped them all out..
but it gives you a very nostalgic feel

He didn't kill off the entire species, he just drove them off Vvardenfell. Solthseim is a different island, and Mjol The Lioness says she grew up hunting cliff racers on the Morrowind border, so it's canon that they still exist outside Vvardenfell.

Cliff racers on Soltheim aren't explicitly lore confirmed, but they aren't explicitly lore-breaking either.

      Thanks for the info!
I heard from Jiub in the dawnguard DLC that he wiped them out entirely, so I was confused about this mod but it makes sense now

Um dude Mjoll the Lioness even mentions hunting Cliffracers with her Father while in Morrowind. Now unless she somehow managed to travel BACKWARDS in time, I think that there must be some cliffracers left in the world.

I imagine that the Vvardenfell cliffracers where an extra aggressive sub species, probably driven mad by Dagot Ur's influence.

Its funny how you say ''Passive creatures" but I wish someone made another mod where they attack so I can annoy the s#*! out of my friend and install it to his console save so he can relive the nightmare

Great simple mod that adds a little something nice. My favorite kind! Endorsed.

They disappear when I shoot them down or fly close enough to "Activate Cliffracer", making them unlootable.
The recipe still shows up in the cooking menu, but I can't collect any tails to make it.
Might require the original mod after all, though I'm doing a reinstall atm so I can't confirm for a couple days.
