    VERSION 2.0 UPDATE:
New update for everyone. Please see the changelog below and update your guides.

Version 2.0 - Fixed any remaining typos. Added 2 new tutorials "How to create a bash patch file if one does not exist" and "How to manually add Bash Tags to your mods". Updated "How to find out if your mod has leveled lists" Step 2 with some important information. Updated some notes on Step 2 of the "Creating the Bashed Patch" tutorial.

I think that may be it on updates for awhile. I've covered pretty much all the basics on Skyrim Bashed Patches at the moment.

I appreciate all the feedback and kudos. Really great to hear this is helping so many of you folks out. That's really awesome.

So it looks like BOSS no longer supports Skyrim. is there a different way to add the bash tags that you recommend in the guide?

Is this guide still up to date in 2021?

Would it be advised to create a separate bashed patch for gear and monsters or just bash it all together?

Is it okay to do a Bashed Patch of my entire load order or should I ONLY keep mods checked that add stuff through leveled lists?

Thank you so much for this guide. Is simple enough so that a dumb-dumb like me can easily understand. With this guide one can gain deeper understanding of a, most times neglected, but essencial knowledge category of modding Skyrim. Good work!

Well done, this is pretty comprehensive and I feel like I understand more what I'm actually doing now.

One question: In the "Merge patches' tab, do you check the mods listed or leave them unchecked?

I've a question concerning Wryebash, an bashed patches in general. While I understand the level list part of the works (in concept, not implimentation) Once I bash a level list for gear, can I still search for those items by esp with an add/search item mod spell ability? Will it show by .esp or do I have to search by title alone?

Second, can I bash combine mods like Apachii skyhair mods 1, 2 an 3, as well any KS Hairstyles? Will this have an adverse affect to character creation or existing character saves?

Can I also bash patch .esp's for audio overhauls and RealisticWaterTwo an all it's subsequent addons?

I only inquire in these regards since those 3 previous mods + addons eat up about 15 .esp slots, an with armor/weapons/gear I could potentially clear up 40-50 plugin space.

Currently sitting with a 253 mod order.

Hi guys, I have a question. I have Immersive Creatures, Weapons and Armor Fixes, Clothing and Clutter Fixes, Immersive Weapons, Immersive Armor and Deadly Dragons. I should make a leveled list bashed patch for all of them and the esm files, or should I remove the esm files, only make the bashed patch for the esp files from those mods? Thanks in advance.

I would do both, it won't hurt anything to do both ESM and ESP files.

You may wanna check mod documentations but I'd think only the Immersive mods would need a bashed patch. Deadly Dragons uses its own spawn system for the dragons using the MCM and the other ones appear to be fixes.

You should not stop responding just because the question is old. If a person has the same doubt, he will not have to ask for it as he has the answer in the comments.

Right-click on your Wrye Bash shortcut and select "open file location" - this should bring you into the "Mopy" directory.
In there is a subdirectory called "Templates."
You *should* find a clean 0.esp in there.
COPY (do not cut or move!) that file into your Data folder where all your other esps are.

And that's about the extent of my knowledge of Wrye Bash (I made the same mistake lol)

I have an issue with the Bashed Patch that I just made, it requires Unofficial Skyrim Patch to be enabled but I can't use it since im using the unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition patch which conflicts with the unofficial Skyrim patch? What do I do?
