Io ho messo instalato la mod ma le Mi da ploblema che la main quset principale dopo aver parlato lo jarl e mi dice palela con il mado ma non appare più linea di alogo della quest
This sounds like such an awesome mod but it's age and lack of updates concerns me. Any chance you may come back DavidSid and update this? Perhaps an All-in-One package with an MCM menu?
I had the Sheogorath level installed, since I installed it I would say literally 99.9% of the bandits I fought were "Bandit Outlaws". I like to use a bow and I'd end up with 300 arrows sticking out of the same guy without doing barely any damage. I miss being able to throw down on a group of bandits like a true warrior so I uninstalled it (i.e. removed the esp from my data folder). I'm mid dungeon right now in the main story in Falskaar and every Draugr I fought so far has been Draugr Wights. I reloaded after I removed the esp and I'm still fighting Draugr Wights and deathlords at lvl 11. Is there something else I have to uninstall? I'll try to replace it with a lower level.
Sheogorath is really insane. It makes a significant portion of the enemies purely random in level, so when you're level 1, those enemies are usually going to be much higher level than you. I rarely use it, myself, since it means I have to either run or use some spammy gimmick to win those fights.
The other difficulty levels affect all of the enemies; basically, the game considers you to be a higher level than you are when spawning enemies with those mods installed. The trick with uninstalling them is that once you've spawned the enemies in a particular area and saved your game, uninstalling the mods will not change anything. Outdoors, you can unknowingly spawn a dragon on a distant mountaintop and not meet him in combat until twenty hours of gameplay later. (Thus, testing these mods pretty much required fresh-out-of-Helgen new characters.) Having had the Sheogorath mod enabled before may be making your life difficult now.
My suggestion would be to either come back to the area at a higher level or reduce the in-game difficulty to compensate for the tougher enemies.
So I played through the Bleak Barrow Falls and I found it very easy. I played my first character up to level 45 on adept and I found it challenging. The difference with this second character is that she's using heavy armor and 2-handed. Could that be why it's easier? I'm playing with the Thane version of this mod atm. Are things going to get harder later on or should I up the difficulty? Thanks again. I just noticed your other comment about how low levels aren't that much different than vanilla. I'm not sure what I should do about the difficulty now since it's way too easy. Maybe I should increase to expert until it gets harder?
I'm a bit confused on installation. In the upper right it only has an option for manual installation, but the files section lets you download with NMM. According to NMM it is in my list of plug-ins, but with another mod that had the same thing it wasn't in the list of plug-ins so that one I probably do have to install this manually. I'm still not sure about this one. My first two bounty quests were easy, but my armor rating was a bit higher due to modded armor. I guess I'll try the dragonstone quest without the extra armor and see how hard it is unless someone knows what to do about installing this mod. Edit: I just opened skyrim normally (without SKSE) and it looks like this mod is listed in the data files so I should assume everything is working ok.
What if I install the mod, but then alter the in-game difficulty setting below adept? Would that be a solution if things get too difficult? Thanks. I'm asking because the creator of this mod recommends to keep the in-game settings on adept, but I wasn't sure if changing them would mess up the mod or what.
The in-game difficulty setting still affects damage dealt by and to the player, so if you find yourself with no other way to proceed, decreasing that setting may give you enough of an advantage to survive.
Ok, thanks for the response. I'm finding Skyrim more difficult than I thought so this mod will probably have to wait until I make a second character. I'm finding even level mid 30s to be challenging on adept right now.
very interesting mod, and a cool seeming approach to increasing difficulty.
is it bad that this bit:
Note that unlike the in-game difficulty setting, adding or removing an Immersive Difficulty Levels mod will not affect already-existing enemies. (If you can't finish a dungeon, disabling the mod won't help.)
... made me cackle with glee? tracking for now, will try with my next playthrough. may be sooner rather than later as i've been getting some CTD's the last few hours
