Disabling fast travel by putting EnableFastTravel=0 in my SkyrimPrefs.ini worked. I have version 1.6.whatever. The current version as of this day. I am not sure why it did not work for the people below but make sure to put it in the General section and in the SkyrimPrefs.ini that is located in My Documents > My Games > Skyrim. Thanks Jjiinx!
You don't change anything in the SkyrimPrefs.ini file. When playing the game type ~ for console to pop up and write enablefasttravel 0. This will work.
Me too! EnableFastTravel=0 in the SkyrimPrefs.ini didnt change anything. Skyrim Ver. 1.1 Windows 7 64bit. I hope there will be a different No fast Travel mod cause ScriptDragon is a memory killer for some reason for me.
I really like your mod though... may you wanna make a simple "No fast Travel" mod without ScriptDragon?
Unfortunately, that simple no fast travel tutorial is gone.
(But I was looking for it because it did not work for me and I wanted to check to see if I had followed the instructions wrong. But I am pretty sure it never worked.)
So, here is another way to disable fast travel:
In your Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini file, under [General] add an option that says:
fFastTravelFadeSecs=9999
Now, fast travel will take a few hours of real time.
A variation on this approach would be to change the value to 300 (so fast travel would take five minutes of real time).

I did that.
And then I went into the game and went to the map and clicked on a location and fast-traveled there.
To disable fast travel without using mods open SkyrimPrefs.ini and add EnableFastTravel=0 to the [General] section
