    New version 1.6.5 is now available, with bug and balance fixes, including:

    * Fixed Stormstrike: Refraction to prevent OnHit effects from stacking on continuous attacks.
    * Fixed Frost Armor for the same reason.
    * Fixed Divine Armor for the same reason.
    * Fixed Storm Armor for the same reason.
    * Fixed Healing Touch: Overgrowth for the same reason.
    * Changed Blight Curse: Corrosion to cast once (on hit) rather than repeatedly.
    * Fixed Spectral Missiles so that the target will not be alerted until 1st missile actually launched.
    * Fixed some race conditions in Storm Armor that could lead to stuck buffs.
    * Cut the Alteration experience for Storm Armor by 60% for balance.
    * Fixed a race condition in Ancient Lich that could lead to stuck destruction buff.
    * Fixed Phoenix Strike to ignore dead targets (to help avoid stuck visual effects).
    * Fixed string caching bug that caused capitalization problems with translation variables (I hope).

    And for bonus content, a new ring:

    * Revenant Ring: raises victims of Blight Curse (up to max level 25)

    This version should be safe to upgrade mid-game, and it should still work with the old version of the SkyRe Patch. Enjoy!

    Spells & Perks Overhaul

    I made a small mod for personal use, but thought I'd share. Curently it affects Destruction skill tree (perks), and also replaces some vanilla spells related to Destruction. Nothing fancy, most of them are modified vanilla spells with additional effects unlocked via perks. Also, I don't know if I'll work on this mod to overhaul other skills.

    Obviously, if you already spent perk point on Destruction skills a new game is required. Requires the latest SKSE, Dragonborn, and Dawnguard.

      The Spells & Perks Overhaul doesn't work for me. I've tested rigorously on the spells like Fire Blast which with the fire line doesn't cause that 100% damage over 6 seconds no matter how many times I cast it, nor does Storm Strike ever knock anyone down, and even the Aura of the Master or whatever that's supposed to give 25% damage to you and your allies shows up.

      Even worse, grabbing the Meteor perks and the last one that doesn't do nothing for you since it involves a spell that doesn't even exist crashes the game.

      In fact, I see tons of descriptions in the Perk overhaul that doesn't make sense, making references to spells and stuff that just aren't even in the game. And yet Spells & Perks Overhaul is the most updated file for this mod or close to it, much more recent than your main file. What's going on?

      On the other hand, with Ordinator sometimes the perks do work, but other times it doesn't. Glacial Prison for example doesn't work with Ice Lance at all (yet seems to work the rest just fine?) and anything with an effect (hard to tell with passives) definitely doesn't affect Fire Blast, yet Conflageration gets to work the whole tree no problem.

      The spells and perks overhaul is just a little side project he uploaded; the main file (2014) is listed as the main file for a reason and what you should be looking at if you want to use this mod.

      But I thank Lowbie for the warning. I probably would have installed that side file with the expectation that it was actually ready for release, when it clearly was not.

      What is the possibility of making it about the destruction skill instead of the perks? Could you make a mod that lets all the spells get stronger with skill level, despite perk overhauls like SkyRe or Ordinator? Then everyone could use it. It would be great to have Holy Bolt and Spectral Missiles getting stronger with skill. It would also be great if someone would fix all the glitches. I can't get Winter Woe to cast for anything. I have more magicka than I need but it stops halfway through casting it every time, spending the magicka. 

      I hope someone helps this mod. It's the best magic mod there is imo.

    Be careful with Cursed Rune spell. It affects your followers and can cause damage to their speed. It took me a while to narrow it down but if you look in the MCM menu options of FMR and look at the talents you can unlock for that spell the very last one is called "Tanglefoot Curse". This talent puts" slow movement by 50% for 30 sec." on the enemy. Unfortunately it also affects your followers. After hours of gameplay I noticed my followers couldn't keep up with me and they were literally moving at a snail pace. I checked them with "getavinfo speedmult" console command and noticed their damage stats were in the negative. The only way I could fix it is to go back to a way earlier save before Cursed Rune damaged them. I tested it on a throw away save and that talent(Tanglefoot Curse) is definitely the culprit behind it. As long as you stay away from that talent it should not affect their speed. I do not use vanilla followers. My followers are Zora and Callen(temp follower) and Hoth, which are all from mods. So it may not affect vanilla followers. 

    I would like to add that I love this mod and use the spells religiously. It is my favorite magic mod and this happens in my game. It may not happen in yours. I do have a lot of other mods so that may play a part in why this is happening in my game. I am just trying to pass down info so that others don't go through the frustration I had to go through trying to figure out why my followers were moving so slow, if in fact this talent is the culprit.

      very late but if you wanna use mods that require sky ui just use skyui-away, removes all sky ui things besides the mcm which mods that require sky ui mainly need

    idk if people still read these comments but for some reason winter woe just doesnt do anything, i go thru the cast and it just says i resisted the spell

    i know this mod hasn't been updated in a very long time, but.. several of the fire spells have broken particles for me... anyone have a fix?

    I wish someone would make an update mod on this. It would be nice if the spells' power would be affected by skill points and perks. It is so disappointing when you play a Paladin and can't upgrade the power of Holy Bolt by getting skills or perks that increase the strength of Restoration spells. It would also be nice if there was more jewelry that goes along with the characters. When you're a Paladin and there are no rings that help increase the power or duration of Holy Bolt, it's really disappointing. It would be really great to add more spells and more rings, and make them increase with perk and skill points.

      If you have SE, my version of the Ordinator patch makes all the spell effects also scale with your magic masteries (skill). Holy Bolt in particular got a few script changes to potentially scale up past 100% damage-to-heal ratio. I also fixed some bugs in the main code for things that never worked right (Ice Floe and Enslave Spirit).

      Oh thanks, but I'm actually using SkyRe now. Also, I'm struggling to try using the Mystic Spells because their effect is capped on level 20 enemies or lower. That makes the spells obsolete later-game.

      Um, maybe you could be the coolest guy ever and make another patch that works with SkyRe on LE? You might become everyone's favorite ninjew if you did!

    Some of the spells need a bit of damage nerfing, should you return to this mod, for almost every run I've done with Pyromancy, Fire Blast will absolutely destroy anything and anyone in a few double+dual casted barrages by the player. Not even Dragons are invulnerable to being utterly incinerated mid-air by the spell.
    I've also noticed that Void Bolt does a similar method of doing damage, only difference is in that the spell travels rather than hit-scan and does a little less damage, but makes little difference.
    I've used both without using Destruction potions or Destruction damage enchantments and they still wreck everything even when I mess with stats and HP just to give a fighting chance.

    The settings actually let you remove the cap from Illusion spells. That's helpful. But it still really needs to be able to scale with skill level.

    any1 know if its safe to re-install this mod midgame? XD

    dont get me wrong... i like it but since some spells and/or their upgrades sometimes persists and stack on itself.. i would like to re-install the mod and start fresh (everytime i notice something wierd like invis high atrribute buff / dmg buff)

    or until som1 implements a kill switch as a fix

    Sometimes the bonus hp you get from the Deathguard possession remains. Any idea how i can fix this? My current playthrough is kinda long and i don't know when it happeded

      same - ish issue... grinded frost armor with winter's gift upgrade and now my basic flames now deal 5k dmg and weapon enchants are too op even when using only petty soulgems...

      and stormgate from time to time perists permanently in a location

      seems some spells / spell upgrades sometimes persists and stacks.. can som1 plz fix?

    Sooo am i supposed to just forget spells randomly?
    like i was using telekenisis and then " A week has passed and you forgot a spell" and no more telekenisis

    if that is this mod is there a way to prevent that?

    If im in the wrong place anyone wanna help me out?
