I'm not as impressed by this mod as I expected. It's made up of pieces of vanilla dungeons stitched together in a nonsensical order, with mostly-vanilla enemies 'roided up to level 100 and copy-pasted to fill entire rooms.
That said, sometimes all I want is a high-level dungeon to throw my overpowered modded characters at, and in that regard, this mod certainly delivered! If that's all you want too, and your computer can handle the poor optimization, have a blast mowing through waves of draugr and skeletons. There's no story, though, and there's nothing fun about hunting for keys or levers. So you're not missing anything if you just cheat for the keys or use noclip when you get stuck. (Also, I never figured out where Nerelia was, and it turns out I didn't need to.)
tl;dr Go into it expecting high-level, but not particularly interesting or unique, battles and nothing else. You might have fun with it. I myself won't play through it a second time, though.
It seems that the quality of the mod does not surpass the linguistic quality of the description, if your review is to be believed, which sounds ok. I was afraid of that. I'd better stay away then.
Pity, because the pictures are looking promising and are definitly amazing.
Gods above! this is one of the worst designed/implemented mods I've had the misfortune to have run across. In the first place, there was no Nerelia's house, no Death Mountain on my maps. I used tmm 1 to force them to show up -- nothing! Well, it turns out that the mod name is NOT Death Mountain at all. It's listed in the Data files as 'DARK TOWER', for some ungodly reason! It took me hours to figure out that one. I was assuming this mod author was as logical as I. That was my first mistake. And this isn't the only mod that does this. You'll load up some mod named XXXX, but that name doesn't appear anywhere; because the author changes the name in the files to ZZZZ. This practice is probably one of the most stupid in the game. It makes no sense, It's confusing, frustrating and Nexus should PROHIBIT THIS PRACTICE. Yeah, right. Good luck with that.
mmm...where to begin...i ve spent about 2 hrs or more into the mod now and all i get in terms of dialog is "hmm what might you need...?" i'm done with this "Thing", i mean i found nerelia and after fighting through dozens of enemies, all i get is "lets go"? THERE IS NO STORY here...i am sorry that it took so much work to create this mod but honestly, i got bored out of my skin...shame i believe the amount of my dissapointment is only equaled by the hopes i had for this mod...
Just finished the extreme version in Skyrim LE. Oblivionlaserie, this is an awesome mod! Some of the fight scenes were epic battles. Looking forward to Death Mountain 2.
