I'm using the "Realistic Lighting", which makes the game much darker in dungeons and interiors, and this spell doesn't really brighten up the dungeon (or my view of it) at all. It's quite useless, sorry to say.
So it would be awesome if you could maybe include several .esp's for different brightness-intensities.
@carleq2, there's always the option to give yourself one of the lesser powers through the console: player.addspell aa01d (Khajiit), c4de1 (Vampire) or 6b10e (Werewolf). I've never played a Vampire or Werewolf so I don't know if there are any differences between them and the Khajiit version in the vanilla game, but I use the Tri Night Eye mod that removes the blurry edges and gives each version its own color (white for Khajiit, red for Werewolf and blue for Vampire).
I like the idea of this mod, it wouldn't feel like cheating to give any character Night Eye, but I agree that it would be even more useful as a lesser power. Perhaps tuck a note that bestows the power into a secluded place that only characters who would naturally be interested in seeing without being seen would be likely to find themselves.
you should make an optional file where it's not a spell, but the actual lesser power (what it was made as). It should also have a longer time limit, if no time limit at all (switch on and have it on until you decide to switch it off again) and be used with the power/shout key. If you do this, you're gonna have thousands of happy people spreading your mod even more Think about it, it's doable. endorsed and kudos.
Thanks for putting it back into the game. Pretty much a must-have mod if you have realistic lightning without post processing. Quite immersive as a thief type of character.

Using it and no effect at all whether toggled on or off.
