Way spiffier than the hide armors, very lovely! I concur with leifrazer, light armor versions would be awesome... However not expected, considering this was made clear back in 2013 >_<
Is this still in progress? I LOVE it so much. Fantastic. I wish this was some overlay we could put on any armor (especially mods! ^.^) and it could be dyed multiple colors and still glow. That would be so sick. then you could make like 8-however many u want overlay templates, and the incorporate the 8-however many you want textures/colors. So dope. love it, and great job! PLEASE KEEP GOING AND MAKE MORE.
OMFG this sounds awesome. Definitely tracking this one for when other armor selections are available. This would be especially awesome for mages wearing boring old cloth...that would spice it up and make it look a little better. Especially on the Arch mage robes.
That happens when the glow texture isn't properly linked from the mesh, or the texture file doesn't exist. I would consider re-downloading the mod, deleting the old files, and re-installing, to make sure all files are present.
If you take a look in the textures folder, there should be three textures for the boots, each ending in _g (for both males and females). If these are there and you've got the right meshes with everything in the right folders, there shouldn't be a problem.
"Vale powder is made at the tanning station, but normally you would using a mortar and pestal for grinding up powders, but since we dont have that, the workstation would be better than the tanning rack. Then adding the die to the armour would also be done on the workstation (I think this is also where you temper armour?)."
Yes, you're right, the workstation (upgrading table) would be better. So too would the alchemy station. But, the way these two stations work simply doesn't allow for this sort of thing to be done. The alchemy lab only accepts ingredients to make new things, and ebony armour will never be an ingredient. The upgrading table can't make anything new at all - it can only improve things. So, I can't change 'ebony armour' to 'painted armour'. Basically, with the upgrading table, you get out what you put in, just improved. Very sad, but these were the first two things I tried.
"...hope steel plate is next!" ... "Please do the Daedric armor and the weapons aswell!"
Definitely other armour is planned. I had orcish in mind (it's green already, it should look good), but Daedric and Steel plate are up there. Hadn't originally planned on weapons, but that could be interesting...
"...complete retexture of the scaled armour..."
Scaled will be done in the other mod, Vale Skin Armour.
"Will you also include some sort of purple vale sabre cat powder?"
I had some vague idea of allowing the player to change the colour of the paint by adding different ingredients, not sure if I'll ever get time to make that happen. One day perhaps...
"I found some nice Nordic Carved armor..."
Sadly, I am without the DragonBorn expansion. Until I get it, those armours will have to wait.
This mod has much potential. Will you also include some sort of purple vale sabre cat powder? Personally I'd love to see the Falmer Hardened Armour with glowing, feral looking purple paints on it. Or even better, a complete retexture of the scaled armour set to match the vale deer/sabre cat animals.
As someone that is using your other mod...this is a nice addition. I must say, I'm not using Ebony armor either. I found some nice Nordic Carved armor on a boss bandit that it would amazing on however. I'm tracking and will definitely download when you get some new armors added.
As far as using the tanning rack instead of the alchemy station, who cares? I am playing with several immersion mods but I also remember that I'm playing a fantasy game. Keep up the good work.

Some thoughts:
