If you don't see the fix for the smelter in your readme, please re-download the mod.
The smelter fix on 1-22-14 was the most recent change and the version number at the top of the ReadMe should be: 1.0.20140122. If yours has the smelter fix listed at the bottom and an old version number from 1-17, it's fine.
I have since updated the zip. I believe it showed the version number from 1-17 and had the smelter fix of 1-22 at the bottom in the list of changes. As you say, the version number at the top of the readme was the mistake. I hadn't updated it to reflect the smelter change from 1-22.

I always keep the latest file uploaded for this mod.
The only change I made was to the ReadMe since you downloaded the zip file.
If the ReadMe in your zip says there's a Smelter fix on 1-22, it's fine. That was the most recent and last fix I made to the mod itself.
