   This is one of those house mods where you might think to yourself... How the hell im gonna find this place?
   
   I wonder if there was a way to keep the NPC alive :p

      Heh, well, there is a map marker that you can fast travel to once you find the house
      
      And which one? If you mean the conjurer outside, well, he sure is angry so I don't think he would make a very good roommate!

      Hey Tnyhy...10yrs later now I can answer that question. Yes you can and recruit him to follow you also. You have to use "AFT" and "Chill Pill" spell. You can recruit any enemy with these two. Cast Chill and while they are chillin, cast Aft Make Follower. Jokerine is right though...He seems pretty pissed off so if you try to dismiss him he will attack you all over again.

   The conjurer outside makes the trip up the 7000 steps more interesting. He seems really strong so if I'm not careful he starts attacking and almost instantly kills me. Took a few tries to finally get to his little house.
