Good time of day. Your lute is amazing, it's just what need. I also use the "Become a Bard" mod when creating a Wanderer's lute (which is extremely necessary) to put it on your back, it turns into an ordinary vanilla lute. Could you make a grid with a texture for it? Please. Have a nice day.
So I downloaded the mod and installed it, I made my way to Riverwood trader to buy it (1180 gold really? I can buy a normal lute for 100 but ok) after clicking on it the game crashed but I decided try again, so I loaded my save and bought it again and now its all black with multiple coloured squares all over it (A.K.A Texture bug) it looks cool but it doesn't fit into the Skyrim theme. Any ideas on how to fix it?
4 years later... If you get that particular issue with textures you need to do one of two things. 1. Increase your graphics quality to high or ultra. 2. Open the textures and save them with all Mipmaps instead of just a couple.
The cause of this issue is that Bethesda, along with other companies, decided to use Mipmaps as the texture quality ( meaning size in this case ) , so if you have graphics set on low and the texture only has 2 Mipmaps, then it doesn't have one for low graphics.
This is not what Mipmaps were invented for. They were developed so that they would take over at increasing distances to alleviate moire and glitter effects.
Hey... so I love this mod, but it's broken for me. I'm using Become a Bard so just the textures and mesh are installed but this doesn't like me somehow... it shows the mesh alright but the texture is broken. Help?
I'm a fan of lute music and I've been using this mod for a long time now with both the "Become a Bard" mod and the Vilja mod's music playing. It's much more immersive than Bethesda's 'Lyre'. It's great also with the real lute music I have in my Become a Bard custom songbook. This model also avoids a lot of the clothing and armour clipping that occurs with both females and males with Bethesda's model. It looks really good when a group of NPCs are playing together.
Recommended (and long-since endorsed).
As for price, I agree that 1180 gold sounds a bit steep, but if you have Become a Bard, you can buy the lute from Viarmo at the Bard's College for only 63 gold.

When I try to use that mod with this one, the clutter version of the lute is correct, but the "Wanderer's Lute" still has the vanilla lute mesh but with this mod's texture. And in that mod, the Wanderer's Lute is required to play music at all. Did you manually go into NiffScope or something to fix it?
Happy honeydews!!! I have been a fan of the "Become A Bard" mod for a long time, but I didn't like sacrificing a full bosom on my character just to avoid having the right breast clipping through the body of the vanilla lute! But now my "Skyrim Self" can be fully voluptuous without a teat forcing its way through my instrument! Instead, the easternmost endowment now rests tantalizingly on the topside. A crowd-pleaser, to be sure. Have your first kudos on me, Darling!
