I'm glad to see more weapons other than the glorified side arm. that kanasaibou has to be my favorite, but doesn't see much action in media because "hero's use swords." and other storytelling crap like that.
This'd be a GREAT way to expand on the Akaviri arsenal in the game, but you forgot Japan's most culturally SIGNIFICANT blade... the Tsurugi! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsurugi_(sword) Not only does it date all the way back to the 5th century, making it FAR OLDER than the Katana, but a Tsurugi named Kusanagi-No-Tsurugi is one of Japan's three Imperial Regalia, Japan's most culturally SIGNIFICANT treasures. I think the reason the Tsurugi doesn't get a lot of love outside Japan is because most foreigners imagine that Feudal Japan ONLY used curved swords, when in reality, it favored STRAIGHT swords until the Mongol invasions, when the Mongol invaders cut a lot of the Japanese defenders down with curved swords, and that the double-edged straight sword, outside of Europe, ONLY existed in CHINA, when in reality, LOTS of Asian countries, like India and others, ALSO had them; is it REALLY so hard to imagine that Feudal Japan would have them too?
Add the Tsurugi, give these weapons a more Akaviri aesthetic so that they actually look like they belong on Nirn, place them in Sky Haven Temple, and POSSIBLY change the unique Akaviri Katana, Dragonbane, to a Tsurugi, and I'll DEFINITELY download this.

Axes were very rare in Japanese warfare and there is only a few depections of them and most depections are oversized.
