Hail t'thee m'lady. I just had to stop by pick this up; word travels fast. Thank you for all the hard work, and for making skyrim a more beautiful place. You have my endorsement ^^
I'm looking around for cube-maps for an armor I'm creating. Would these work? I'm going for a leathery look - what would you suggest? Would something in Skyrim's Texture BSA be better ... ? *such a beginner*
Leather doesn't typically have a cube map, unless you want highly oiled and polished leather.
You can try the lighter of my two cube maps and see what you think, you might find just adding brighter spots on the specular map creates the effect you are after though!
A cube map aka environmental map is how you see reflections on things like potion bottles and armor.
This is a resource for other modders, it does not currently replace any cube maps, you would need to add it yourself by renaming a currently existing cubemap.
it is using in reflections to make materials - metall, silk, e.t.c. Environmental mask texture and environment map scale value depends intensity what part of your armor will shine, and environmental map depends on how it will shine
