i was just looking for something exactly like this, sucks it got abandoned :/ wonder if i could figure out how this works as something to add to my mod hmm shouldn't be to hard although going across all of skyrim to do puddles ect could be a pain,

although it does give insight to how things like this are important during development rather than end of development things

Shame it's abandoned, this is a wonderful idea. I imagine it's horrible to script for though. GuruLevel.

This would be an amazing mod if it actually worked as intended. The couple of times I was able to make the game run with it without crashing there were no puddles nor any other effect that I could see from it. It also corrupted save files when it crashed. I'm 99.9% sure that I've pinned it down as the culprit for turning my characters face black, resizing a child npc to the size of an adult and removing said child npc's hair from its head. Crazy as it sounds, these things did not happen until I installed this mod and it crashed the game. I made new save files and tested it multiple times and the glitches repeated, leading me to believe it's not compatible with one of the other 130ish (mostly well known / popular) mods I've got installed, though none of those mods alter the layout of towns/villages/whatever as the mod says is its only incompatibility. If you try this mod do it with a new save file.

Help! The pool never disappears and always show dripples like it thinks it's still raining.

Which one? Did you use console to force any weather? and did you update to the lastest version? did you update in the town or in an interior (interior is suggestable) and did you wait enough time to let it poof away? I should just add a "clean all" thing after all... never gave me problems but In the next update I'll just let them dissapear once you get off whiterun (or any other city).

Whiterun. And no, I didn't use any console to force weather. I installed with version 0.18a which I believe is still the latest and started a new game with it. First, it rains, then came the puddles and I cheered yay! But I waited 10 hours the puddles just stay. I've tried leaving and entering whiterun. (I also have CoT 3.1 and Real Shelter .98c)

edit: Haven't gone to Solitude yet. And yes, that feature would be great.

Hmm weird, it never happened to me, I'll just add that "cleanup" feature for such cases then, thanks for reporting.

I have the same problem with the mod.
I'm using Realistic Lighting Overhaul with the RLO Weather module.
The puddles appeared after I installed the mod Real Clouds and went to Whiterun.
It wasn't raining at that time btw.
I waited 12 hours inside the Bannered Mare, the puddles were still there.
I left whiterun to clear a bandit hideout. I deinstalled Real Clouds inside the hideout (It was the Silent Moon Camp).
I waited 24 hours after that inside the hideout.
I got back to Whiterun and the puddles are still there (Everything on a clear day, no rain whatsoever).
I can also see the dripples.
Hope there is a way to get rid of the puddles. I don't really want to uninstall the mod.

I did something similar. I also used Real Clouds. Now the puddles always seem to be there which is a bit of a bother.

I stopped using Real Clouds for now even and using Dramatic Clouds until possibly an update of Real Clouds that fixes log errors.

A clear/reset option would be nice.
