Thank You. Sorry I haven't kept it up to date. I appreciate the positive feedback and your work in converting it as necessary. I no longer have that email address.
for those of use unable to mess with conversion it would be fantastic if someone would convert this mod to work properly with Skyrim Anniversary edition and post it here on Nexus for ease of loading (Vortex makes modding so much easier). i know you would need permission from the original mod creator for that though.
Literally, it took me about five minutes to port it! I found the bard in Solitude, and also noticed the "well effect" for dialogue voice.
We've come a long way from 2013, and SKVASynth could be used to update some of the lines.
This seems to be a great mod, and I will update my progress here if needed.
TL;DR - Follow the posted website for easy SE conversion, mod using CK at your leisure!
Regards,
Jeff
P.S. Great Mod! Thanks for making it.
EDIT ONE: Using SKVASynth, you don't even need to alter the mod. Just create your new voices and drop them in the modded folder as loose files. By the way, certainly not any problem with the voice acting; they did good! Yeah, I don't prefer the "bathroom effect", but when I hear FemaleEvenToned for other things, it is nice to hear it for ALL things.
EDIT TWO: Working well after a few days. NPCs look great! I was in my Hearth Craft built longhouse, and suddenly I heard a flute. Yaay, that's all I wanted was a bard to play and sing at my longhouse! BTW, The bard I have uses FemaleEvenToned for her songs and they are pulled directly from Vanilla SE. Been slowly porting SKVA lines into the game with no problems there, either.
The dialogue voices sound like they're speaking up to you from the bottom of a dry well. I haven't hired anyone yet because I am afraid of what they'll sound like in my house. Once I've visited them all I will choose one and see what happens... after I save my game.
Really a wonderful mod, it's just too bad development on it has stopped. I would've liked for them to use the clothes and trinkets I gave them and interact with them a bit more. No need for fancy quests or anything like that, just more conversation would be nice so the house won't be so quiet.
Wow, we need this so badly in SSE. I've had it for years, and I find it a great addition. I only hire a few bards and S'Sharra, but the ones who don't gethired still provide immersion where they are.
If for no other reason than how ell she is done, and how she interacts with character in game, I really wish I had S'Sharra to guard my house while I am gone in SSE.
I've hired a bard in Falkreath with no problems at all, he works great! I also wanted to hire one or two guards - but they don't have any dialog options for hiring them! I've tried the one in Riverwood and the one in Whiterun. Any ideas why I can't hire the guards? Please help!
edit: Now it works! Seems that it just needed a game restart.
