edit: using skyre it seems to return the spells like stoneflesh to their default, ie MUCH lower, values. Trying to figure out a load order that can make it work but no luck
This mod does work like it says though, just doesnt play nicely with SkyRe, as they both mess with Alteration and armor stuff I guess.
Thank you so much for this very simple fix. I've always felt so restricted when playing an Alteration character. Now I can benefit from the masks AND wear a pair of fashionable elven gauntlets. This is great.
I have to say I've always been disappointed with the state of things in this regard but never enough to request a mod. I wonder if this will conflict with any mods that improve the spells making them a constant effect and what not or does this change not effect the spells themselves?
I'm afraid it does modify the spell effects themselves. Luckily, it is a really simple edit if you know how to use the CK, so you can add these changes to the other mod you're using. Just open up each spell, edit the "armor 30/50/70 perk bonus" parts and delete the "WornHasKeyword Keyword: 'ArmorLight'" and "WornHasKeyword Keyword: 'ArmorHeavy'" bits. Make sure to do the left-hand versions of each spell, too.
Well done. This actually annoyed the piss out of me as well. For Bethesda to make those mage armor perks for casters and then release all the best mage items as light or heavy armor... I mean it's as if they're trolling us. Honestly the less OP way to fix this is to just change all those items to be unarmored, but this works to if you can resist abusing it.
