@worksa - i said plate because this armor is all plate no chainmail originally :p Also nope stomach is not most vulnerable... I kinda know this stuff as my brother is taking part in historic recreations reason why ur not like to get hit in stomach in cutting manner is simple - in real combat there is no 1 on 1 situations meaning u fight in crowd witch makes u unable to swing sword from left to right etc u can only thrust or make up/down slash as for the "nude" body part - u should realise its joke ;P Im fully aware that armor like may only function in fantasy world because all in all u want to have any kind protection anywhere just in case
As a reenactor who's watched plenty of heavy fighting up close in tournaments, yes, your stomach is quite vulnerable when someone stabs you directly. Clearly you've never seen SCA wars. A bare torso wouldn't last 2 minutes.
I've used this mod off and on over the years, but never noticed there was a fix in the DL section LOL. I guess I hurried every time I was re-modding my game. I'll have to double check my immersive armors mod to see if I like ebony in that, or still prefer this, then see if they don't conflict if I choose to replace it with this mod.
I'd be happy if they add updates to the current one. It's the only one of its kind. If it had just a couple tweaks, along with an option for a full torso, it'd be perfect. It's been several years, and I still find it one I really admire, but wish it had been passed to someone willing to do more work. If I had the time to learn 3D modeling, I'd do it myself.
Overall I love this design. But I would like to see someone do an update on it. First, the chest piece looks like it's been cut off just below her bust. It needs some kind of bezel to feel like she's wearing armor. Why is it cut so high just under her arms? Second, the red cloth (if that's what it is) looks too rigid. For a first mod, perhaps not bad, but it'd be nice to see this updated. Third, maybe adjust the shine. It's plastic-glossy when it should feel like hammered & smoothed metal. Last, maybe a full-torso version. If I want to be honest, I feel like the bare abs make it look like her armor was ripped off and the edges are going to murder her if a werewolf doesn't rip her guts out first.
Update: I never saw the quote/replies until recently, but even after trying the quick fix, I still run into this torso issue. After reading back in the old posts, I'd found this:
@redhorizon - it should work, if u have problems then delete from meshes - curiass_1 and make copy of curiass_0 and then change its name to curiass_1 and paste it back to ebony armor meshes folder
Update 2: The fix helps, but also adds this odd, heaving random piece of the armor that looks like a growth from her hips. Both sides. I've tried replacing the file, but the issue stays. Also, sometimes a random mesh error shows up where it's like there's a black or red ray shooting to the sky, like a flashlight yet solid color.
.:.Out of all the Ebony mods I've seen, this one by far is my fave, it gives the armor a revealing appeal but not too revealing wich is purrrfect.. OH yes I play a khajiit ~>^.^<~ wich brings me to a question~ would it be possible for me to remove the belts on the waistline? My tail tends to go through belts >.< I'll do it myself if I can figure out how to (wouldn't want to bother the creator too much, modders do enough hard work) other than that this mod deserves our respect, it is still my fave.:.
