This mod is already included in the SE Engine Fixes mod, but is off by default. To turn on, simply open EngineFixes.ini inside your Data/SKSE/Plugins folder and find this line under [Patches], DisableChargenPrecache = false and set it to true. Needless to say, SE RaceMenu has this already integrated.
If you aare using MO2, double click SSE Engine Fixes(skse64 plugin) and a small window opens, then click Text Files tab. In that click on SKSE\PLugins\EngineFixes.toml and in patches section you can set DisableChargenPrecache to true.
+1 I'm having the same problem. Is it because I haven't started a new game yet? I can't find the EngineFixes.ini in my folder. It has everything else but that.
Thanks James, strange that the game still froze even with se racemenu having it integrated. Probably had to be turned on, sucks it isn't by default then
I found it. Go to MO2, right click "(Part 1) SSE Engine Fixes for 1.6.1170 and newer", "open in explorer". You'll see a folder named "skse" and a "meta.ini". Go inside the "skse" folder, then plugins, and open "EngineFixes.toml" using any text editor.
In version 3.4.5 nioverride.dll causing crashes. To reproduce this CTD just create simple script which very quickly unequip and equip some item on NPCs cyclically endlessly ~1min. Was seen with DSR. Option Only player not work.
This does not work, but thank you for making it anyway. We really need to play Skyrim on a quantum computer if we install a lot of hair mods. I just have to wait for 2-4 minutes for the character creator to appear. What can we do, we poor bro.
Man this really worked, I have many visual mods installed, but when I opened the "showracemenu" the memory allocated 3.1gb and gave that memory error, anyway.. this is not normal, since everything was ok before, but then it started to give this, and I had forgotten that I deleted some plugins... but this one really can't be missed, it helped a lot, it really does what it does, the memory error is gone and now I can customize my character! I recommend.
