I love the mod, but is there a way to disable the hand cart?

I have no idea if this would be possible, but is there any way to make edit the cart in such a way to allow it to be pushed or pulled? Basically, I want something like Gypsy eyes caravan or dragonkiller cart, but rather than being attached to my horse, I would like for my character to grab the handles and push. As it is now, you can actually stand between the handles and push the cart quite well, so I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult for someone who is good at creating mods.

Fantastic work on this mod, by the way. I love having a cart rather than a backpack and 50 bandoliers lol.

Just came back to give this mod another go, and it worked wonderfully, I am very happy that you put in the time and effort to make this mod work, thank you.

Now this is what simple storage should be. I loved the the single container inventory item cart in 2.0, and I like the fraction weighted backpack in the new 2.5, but could I suggest/request some kind of a lite version between the two? A truly "simple storage solution" might be to have an accessible inventory item like the old cart was, with just a single container (so no UI to sort through), and with a fraction carry weight for that container. Among 2.0 and 2.5 it seems like the best of both worlds: a single container with no UI but with a fraction carry weight for something vaguely resembling realism.

Just one container accessible at all times that can hold the junk I don't need in my front pocket, and won't weight me down as much as readily available, while it isn't a complete pocket dimension.

If you can make this happen, my hat is off to you.

You work fast, my hat is most definitely off to you. When I tried it, it seems to reduce weight by 10%. My own modding skill is limited to poking around with integers with TesEdit (even CK scares me), but when I poked weightmult integer in the new handcart only file, it changed in a way which I can't ascribe a pattern to. I'll just sit here and scratch my head.

Either way, I am one very, very happy camper. I think you have just provided me with the final piece to my permanently and (personally preferential) ideally modded Skyrim. And for that, you have my thanks, for making perhaps my number one favorite of ~150 installed mods even better.

It was no problem, actually. I only had to add the encumbrance script to an older version of the mod. I did play around with a few different weight multipliers so I guess it's possible I left it at something other than 1/5, but I don't think I ever even tried 1/10 so that's weird. The CK is quite a bit easier to work with than TesEdit in my opinion, but starting out by tweaking other people's mods is actually not the easiest way to learn it.

I am seriously loving this mod.
    Couple of questions.
Sometimes when I am outside I do not get the Handcart container option.
I'll test but do you have to be near a road ?
Also I was running between Riverwood and Whiterun when suddenly the Handcart appeared in front of me and then I pushed it around for a bit.
Guess I was dragging it too fast :-)
I could open the Handcart via the 'E' key but as soon as I left it I could not see it via the Backpack menu.
Lastly as anyone mentioned losing stuff from a container.
I cannot confirm but I seem to have lost all my Ingredients but (huge but coming) I may have dropped them somewhere as I made that fatal mistake of playing late last night after a few beers :-)

Forget the bit about missing stuff. I did place the gear in a satchel. My bad. :-)

The Handcart option in the UI only appears if you are in a location that is tagged by the game as a town or city. The Handcart object appearing in front of you and getting knocked around is unfortunate but fixing it is kind of a lot of trouble.

Hello all. New version. This time I have uploaded a version with loose scripts, in case anybody has trouble with the .bsa archives again. Scroll all the way down the file page to the Miscellaneous section. Please let me know if this fixes the problem.

I truly apologize to everybody for all of the problems. This is utterly maddening.

Just decide to come back and look at this mod again, I'm experiencing the same issue Lyss came across. Using the BSA Unpacker found here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4804/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D4804&pUp=1

I unpacked the scripts, but even after that only the MCM menu was functional for me and only the backpack item existed non of the other items were accessible, Also the script which is supposed to be attached to the backpack item was not activating. I hope this helps, and I'll come back to check on this mod again later.

I've not tested for Hearthfire compatibility, just general does it run testing (and to see what I think of it). It wouldn't run until I unpacked the bsa file; although I could locate the items in the console, there was no MCM or functionality before that. After I unpacked the bsa, it loaded and ran right away, so if anyone else is still having usage issues, they may just need to use loose scripts.

This is definitely an interesting take on inventory management which I'm going to try in a new game; the script running for the sort all option does seem a little slow, but that may just be my computer. It also correctly recognized a new food item after I manually sorted it once, and (when I checked) refused to allow manual sorting of non-scroll items into the scroll container.

If anybody who couldn't get the previous version of this mod to work finds this comment and manages to get the new version to suit your needs, I'd love to hear about it. I apologize for any inconvenience, especially since inconvenience is exactly the opposite of what a convenience mod should be giving you!
