Nice mod but doesn't go well with Skyrim - Enhanced Camera. Since the arm that holds the torch is a bit higher, it doesn't connect with the body.

Sorry for necro-posting.. More thoughts about using this mod with "Skyrim - Enhanced Camera"...

The mod "Skyrim - Enhanced Camera" has an INI option (in recent version at least):
      bUseThirdPersonArms=0

I also use "Proper Torch Wield", which recommends "Hold Your Torch Higher". So, I tried setting that INI value to "1". It looks great while standing up, during both 1st and 3rd person cameras. But while sneaking, the torch's wooden handle sort of spends too much time blocking your straight-ahead view, your usual line-of-sight (better than the bright fire at least..) - and this triggers my ENB's DOF ( "Depth of Field" ) to occasionally blur my long-range view, as the torch sometimes lingers in front of my interaction cross-hair. Then, when you're sneak-walking, the bright fire actually is too much blocking your face, like an original problem we all wanted fixed by these torch mods. Another wrinkle is that, choosing "bUseThirdPersonArms=1" makes some things look perfect and other things.. not. So there's no clear win that I can find. I don't understand the mod issues, but seems like mods that edit the appearance of 3rd-person things which also have 1st-person versions of those same things (such as the player's arms) should simultaneously provide the corresponding 1st-person versions of the assets. There's so many mismatching situations between 1st and 3rd person assets, once you're modding the game.

What’s the point in sneaking with a torch though???

Is there a sound mod being used in the video presenting the mod?

The animation works fine in first person but in 3rd person it doesn't work, my character just stands there with the default idle stand with the hands down with torch equipped and runs normally (clipping the torch thru the body), even with "Proper Torch Wield". It just works while sprinting.

    This only works for NPC's

Can you help me with this issue?

I love this animation! Could you also edit the animations used when holding a torch with a one-handed weapon in your hand? Even better, making the character hold the torch like this, please?

Any chance we'll see this mod appear for the Special Edition?

I've converted this to SE for personal use and all works fine.

Just found out the mod author has been banned, so there goes asking for permission to release the conversion.

Excellent thought, and Agree with Socratatus 100%. literally skyrim torches are too bright on laptops. If only this were "Hold your Torch Much Higher in FIRST Person too" (and flames 90% out of visual range)...

      You then need...

"Proper Torch Wield - Hold your torch away from your face" by skyrimaguas:
      http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69368/?

It fixes the issue for first-person view as well.
Mod's Posts section also has a fantastic real-life video explaining why torches should be held high rather than in front of the face.

Note: Thanks to ScarletStreak for pointing out this mod here.

nooooooooo- only 3rd person? When am I going to find a mod for first person torches? Everytime I jump the torch gets right in my face blinding me, even just walking at night in first person is a pain it's like staring at incoming headlights.

I think you need to use both this and immersive 1st person, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49036, going to try both now

Yea, both together should be great so it looks realistic in 1st person and other npcs hold torches like it should be- Away from their faces!

Thanks going to try this now since the torch position really annoyed me with joy of perspective mod which I believe uses 3rd person body.
