Just wondering if you're still moding or not, but if you are up for it... I've been trying to find a scale armor with the thief armor leggings and sleeves to use but can't find anything like with that sort I mind. So I'm hoping you might be up to make a set or maybe know someone who can? Anyways just wonding! Love the mods you do!
Cabal doesn't really change the vanilla that way, but I found a mod that works well for this-- Try the Gannicus Modular Armor on here (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39730), the armor itself is ok if you want a gladiator, but the leggings can be added to any armor set and they look great with this and don't use a slot that really keeps you from using any other part of the armor. I have sample pics in the comments of that armor mod where I tried the leggings with various vanilla armors (like- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/xaraan/2013-08-20_00003_zps02aec672.jpg).

I just wish some skilled modder took Scaled armor female mesh and make it usable... Vanilla one is terribly distorted (wool looks like if it was stretched to max in the crotch and there's a "thing" on the butt that looks like s#*! crossbred with graphical glitch)... and it even slightly clips in certain poses
