This is the closest to what I wanted which was the Oblivion system. This is good though I have 5 now instead of 2. The up/diagonal are too likely to result in me hitting up ruining those 2 slots but this is still an improvement. Works with SSE/AE with no modifications needed!
Well, i downloaded it, there's no description on how to install this. I put downloaded folder in Data. Doesn't work. I don't have telepathic abilities, can anyone tell how to install this mod?
dude this need to be on Top Files. This mod is so damn amazing! the d-pad hot key wheel from oblivion was the one thing i hoped they didnt change and you FIXED IT! thank you
@SkyrimStan Actually if you equip a 2 handed weapon (including a bow) and then use a hotkey just to equip your sword, then (assuming you did NOT unequip the shield before equipping the 2 handed weapon) your shield should immediately be in your left hand. That technique also works for spells or other 1 handed weapons. As for using the down button to open the favorites menu, it's not that hard to manually change the file yourself since it's just a text file with a different extension.
I can't believe this doesn't have more support! It's a godsend for me. Believe it or not this actually PATCHES my game. If I don't use this and I reassign my layout I cannot Favourite things, it just takes me to the Journal (I put the Journal on "Y", Character Menu on "B").
Marvelous mod, it's so I good I CAN'T play without it.
PS: I don't get any issue with Triggers. Just pop the Favourites Menu, scroll to what I want L/R Trigger, drop the Menu and I'm done. I use the 7 Keys version.

Also, if you could add somthing that would make it so one hotkey would make me pull out both my sword and shield.
