I really hate this mod.As soon as I downloaded it I didn't like the style of it so I deleted it. But guess what?IT DOESN'T GET RID OF THE TEXTURES! Your ruined my Skyrim with your crappy mod and not a single comment has helped me fix the texture issue.I just want the mod fully gone and my Skyrim back to normal. If anyone has a fix, please reply but for now I am reinstalling Skyrim.

I feel sorry for you, Cheesy, cause you don't read the comments and for missing out on Tropical Skyrim.
      1. post eh and already aspiring for an assh..? Not very smart.
Read and tell me when you have read how well it went and how easy it was to get rid of TS! OK!

From what people are saying about uninstallation issues, I'm guessing this isn't one of those mods I can assign to a profile that I can switch back and forth whenever I want? I like to keep a profile for a lore-friendly Skyrim playthrough, but I also really want to try out this mod without permanent repercussions. Any tips on how I can do that?

TS overhauls Skyrim totally which is a heavy load on any game. Therefore among other things the load order is crucial to avoid crashes:

-Of old habit I use the TES Mod Manager (which also works for Oblivion and Morrowind).
-I also use Wrye Bash with TES5 Edit. (Addresses in a post below.)
-The Mod manager is a safe tool to install and uninstall mods.
-WryeBash is also a mod organizer which to some intent organizes your load order. -And warns you if there are conflicts between mods and even when there are errors.

There are several fans on the nexus that switches between different profiles with Mod Organizer:
      http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/?
I have never used MO so I know nothing:-)

Read the instructions I am referring to in the post below and get wise before you do anything?
There are no guarantees inwolved when you are dealing with large overhauls like TS - I have never had any problems with TS even when creating and running larger mods based on the Skyrim idea.

I guess you have not used a mod manager to install the mod?
Give me some more clues to give you a proper answer :-)

I am sorry to say there isn't much help I can give you as long as you don't give me more info.
I didn't notice that you allready used the NMM installer, sorry about that.
Some version of NMM is not working properly, I do not know which one, and I am primarily using TesModManager which yoou can find here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5010/?
I also use WryeBash which is a mod organizer and repair tool: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/?
HialgBoost is a booster (as the name allready describes): http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15123/?
They are tools to help you organize your Skyrim to work properly.
To make your install work again you have to uninstall file by file manually. It is a good way to learn the constuction of the game hierarchy - if this is your first time:-)
      Good luck!!

When I uninstalled Tropical Skyrim, the birds were still there, and the loading screens were purple.

Got that same problem here as well. I'm very unpleased with the mod so far. I'm probably going to have to do a complete re-install of skyrim and mods

The mod was good until it broke my textures so now everything is mixed half tropical half regular....seriously mod author should fix this soon or put up a warning.

This is not caused by the mod. It sounds like an internal problem on your PC, or for instance your load order.
If you want good answers to solve your issue you need to give a good descrption on what you really experienced; nr. of mods, low end high end computer, tools installed and so on.
_Or try to search the web to find answers. ( 308,471 Unique D/Ls at the moment of TS! )

      Hi pieguy12:-)
It has been some issues with NMM, but I do not know if your issue is caused by that. I guess you have to go through the meshes, sounds and texture folders and delete the TS files manually.
I am out of the nexus for some time so I can not give any better advice than this. Have a nice summer!

I get that, as well as still having jungle trees and the names of things (raptor skin, ape/troll) staying like they do in the mod.
