There's a glitch when dual wielding Fury and Bane. The left hand weapon reverts back to its vanilla look when sheathed but looks fine being held.

It's slightly annoying but at least you kill NPCs while looking cool.

Edit: Disregard what I said. The error should be on Dual Sheath Redux's end... Probably. LOL

A lovely pair of blades, but at the risk of whipping the dead horse I must say I don't feel it fits culturally with the forsworn or ancient reachmen. However, I'm not about to critisize without an alternative in mind either.

Culturally speaking, the reachmen and forsworn seem to draw inspiration from ancient celtic tribes; such can be seen in their names. I believe it would have been much more fitting to base the weapons on iron age celtic swords with an anthropomorphised hilt. That's my criticism on the matter.

Actually, your explanation made this sword much more interesting. When you mentioned " inspiration from ancient celtic tribes" I google celtic writing and the writing on the sword and their letters are identical, or at least vary similar. At first, I was vary reluctant to use this replacer, but thank to this, now I am not. The intensity of the blue or red of the letter is a bit to much, and it would be nice if they were engraved in the blade itself, like you see on the hilt.

Could you possibly make a alternate version of this sword without the runes and slightly shorter to use as a replacer for the scimitar? I am already using your mesh and texture to replace it in game, but would really like it to be different the the Red Eagle version. I would greatly appreciate it, because the vanilla scimitar just looks so terrible.

I must start by saying i really like your textures, meshes and work in general. The idea of replacing generic weapon textures with unique ones is awsome! But then again, i really thought these red eagles bane looked more like a redguard sword than an ancient reachmen sword. Maybe you can rework it with a more forsworn look and use this texture for Amren's Family Sword?

Nope, this is what I wanted for them, I'm not redesigning them.

I must start by saying I too really like the textures, meshes and work with this in general. But then again, some idiots always come and try to get the author to alter his work. It is unbeliveable how in every single mod by Insanity gets these utter garbage posts about something not being right. Why in the world would the author really change it because you "really thought these red eagles bane looked more like a redguard sword than an ancient reachmen sword." Such whining makes me sick, as I believe makes the author sick too.

To be fair Asktism, it does. No need to insult others for giving their opinions and thoughts on a mod. People are saying these things because they ENJOY the mod. I mean of course IS doesnt have to change anything and if ntfb really wanted to he could match a patch to do what he wanted or got someone to do that for him or something

The weapon sucks stat-wise. I mean 27 damage? Really? I have crappy swords that do twice as much. It would be awesome to have better damage as an optional, right? I don't know. But it's a really cool mod anyway.

Looks cool, but such a sleek looking cutlass seems a little too elegant to be an Ancient Nordic Sword.

Why do people keep saying Nordic? The fact the original/vanilla uses an Ancient Nord sword is stupid....because Red Eagle WASN'T a Nord. He was a Reachman. That's why you find reference to him in Forsworn camps.

It's a nice model, but I do agree that the choice of a cutlass seems a little odd, personally. Given the Forsworn penchant for Daedra worship, perhaps something more Daedric inspired would have worked better? Or something that was kind of like to Forsworn weapons what the Snow Elf armour is to modern Falmer armour; something where you can see a link, but changed over time and lacking materials, etc.

Just a personal point, it's still very well modelled, and well and above anything I could do, that's for sure =P

Red Eagle isn't a Nord, yet he was buried as one? Draugrs are Nords right? It was flawed from the start. The first time I saw Red Eagle, I thought he was Nord, then I learned he wasn't. As to what Ardus was trying to say, the original swords have the same model as Ancient Nordic Sword, he was just stating the obvious.

Maybe the reason Red Eagle was probably buried in the same style to signify the extent of cultural exchange between the Reachmen and the ancient Nords. Two cultures being in close contact with each other will see these kinds of exchanges of happen over time until either one displaces the other or a new culture that combines many aspects of the previous culture develops and supplants the older cultures.
