Thanks for the great work. I've been looking forever for argonian replacer. I just have one little concern, I'm getting a double text during creation. English overlaying something else. (I can not read it for the love of god :p all I'm getting are strange characters). Tried to look at it in xEdit and yup. there it is in the description, and actor effect.
Not that I mind, but I'm just curious since all I'm seeing are a jumble of symbols. ^-^
This mod is one of my top favorites! However I am new to modding and can not figure my s#*! out lol could you help explain why the argonian npc replacer might not be working? Thank you! Beautiful work!
Works fine in SSE, but be sure your character looks the way you want the first time. In Appearance changing mirror mods and the Face Sculptor the hair will revert to a vanilla style and refuse to be changed. You will also gain a scar. I have wanted to play a Naiad again for some time and am glad this works (mostly) in SSE.
Not sure if the author still works on this I know its from 2013 but I love this race exactly what I was looking for a specific play through my only problem with it is sometimes I get the blank eye glitch that happens sometimes on all my toons side effect of using mods not sure what even causes it, showracemenu always fixes it instantly but if I do that when I use this race it reverts to some preset with a scar that I can't remove and only two hairstyles are available so I'm left with no work around if I want to keep my current look other than that though love it =)

I must say- You've left me feeling rather DUPED here! I looked forward to making a Naiad character of my own for days... even researched the Greek mythology surrounding the beings upon which (I THOUGHT) this (SUPPOSED) playable race was based on. Quite intriguing stuff, really, even if all you did was cut the dialogue out of the wiki page on the subject and paste it into your heading! But that much was forgivable, but this apparent Bait-and-switch your pulling here nearly gave me a migraine when I finally got around to trying out your mod IE- building my own Naiad nymph. I went so far as to create a beautiful name for her, downloaded outfits specifically for her... HELL- I even sought out the long, lost "La Mer" outfit, originally for UNP and then tried using that brain-busting Bodyslide Outfit Studio to convert it to CBBE. JUST FOR THE NAIAD GIRL- who would never come to be. :'-( And she would have been perfect for Tropical Skyrim!!! But when I finally arrived at the end of that annoying cart ride, all primed up for character creation... what did I find? HMMMM? I found a race name (?) and a description that looked as if it were written in spilled Spaghettios! WTF!? Even after clicking on that mess- all it did was show me a NORD! One, I might add, that COULDN'T EVEN BE ALTERED! Where did these contributed photos come from, with their little "Thank you" notes attached? I didn't even bother to go to Riften to see if there was actually some sort of "Naiad" wandering about there. I'm just disgusted!!! X-(
I loved this post, and I love how much work you put into your character beforehand. However, I did have the same problem...it was a male nord that I found when I clicked on the Naiad race. I spent a solid hour trying to fix this problem only to find there was no problem at all. All you have to do is change the sex and BAM there she is...you're beautiful Naiad. There is no male version, but since male is the default when you choose the race they had to fill it with something. Hence the nord. So DL it again, and change the sex and she should be there <3
Thamkyou,Emil,for pointing out the gender male start issue-which as an alternate race user I shouldve realized myself...dialesse's scathing comment-whereas beautifully executed-was undeserved & almost kept me from trying this mod.
I'm a little confused, I thought races area, was playable races, but this ones more a follower, shouldn't it be listed in the follower area, just saying, love the look and colours, love the some of the eye colouring , specially the light purple one, and the faint scales, does that mean somewhere they mated with snakes or lizards, ? just asking heh o.o
Lol I'm pretty sure it's just a fantasy race with no detailed origin planned out (sorry if I'm wrong of course x.x), but it could be possibly "Mer" descended (related to the elven races), or maybe it's just another sort of Argonian (like how the Dagi-Raht Khajiit are still Khajiit) which would mean it is a descendant of the "Hist" which is actually more botanical than reptilian interestingly enough. I kinda am leaning to the latter as my theory since the Naiad can breathe under water and have scales. Though being somewhat illusionary creatures from what I read, they could still mayyyybe be Mer. Heck, maybe they are both XD though that would be a bit strange.
P.S. This IS a race mod AND this also contains a follower. I would think because of that it should be posted in both or separated into parts. But I've seen several other race mods include followers so *shrugs*. I'm just super glad it exists lol I love this modder's style. Hoping to put the argonian replacer in my game soon.
